Two games?

He's has 16 ABs in 4 games.  Hardly a big enough sample size to make any decisions.  He's made good contact and has walked 5 times.  I think he will eventually hit the ball and obviously is a much better option defensively than what they have today.

That’s not a fucking strike dude. Catcher moves that thing 8 fucking inches.

Doesn't matter, you can't expect to hit Dartmouth pitching.

They finished seventh in the eight team league last season.

Cold shouldn't make that much of a difference, it always cold this time of year usually.

Real quick to make the move

Very true. He’s also like 180lbs though so there is limited upside to his bat for a non speed player. And 2nd base is not a premium defensive position.

He's managing like these two runners might be the ballgame.  Our O has been anemic.

Yeah, not a fan of the quick hooks this series

It’s always cold at Disch until like April

I think it’s more just early season limiting pitches.

Surprised we aren’t bringing the infield in then

Welp.

Good play Jalin. Not sure why ARod went to the plate side of the bag there.

I don’t think the pitching change was due to trying to prevent that run. I also don’t think Schloss is worried about 1 run in the 4th inning in February

A balk call before he’s even set? What kinda call is that? How can a front leg flex be a balk before the pitcher comes set?

I don’t think Dartmouth has hit a ball in play this weekend that went more than 200 feet in the air.

Agree.  No doubt Schloss is watching pitch count early in the season, especially when cold.

He probably wasn’t expecting P to reach the pitch count in 3+ innings.  Probably expected the bats to do something, as well.

So you’re saying we should throw strikes?

Not today. Yesterday Flores and someone else had well hit balls that died in the wind.

This team strikes out way too much. Hopefully that improve as the season progresses but these SOs right now are wild

No, but more than yesterday.

New pitcher same result.

The Ivy League doesn't have athletic scholarships.

I guess the NIL deals are great.

We have three guys that are on pace or better than Faltine's strikeout record (104) from a couple of years ago.

Not having a lead off hitter (or any hitter) as good as Thomas looks like it might be an issue.

Starts him 0-2, 3 noncompetitive balls, and then gives up the hit when he grooves one 3-2

They don’t have athletic scholarships, but they have more than enough for scholarships that come straight from the schools.  $10B+ endowments help with things like that.

That's great if your a nuclear scientist, not so much for the athletic programs.

OMG.  the little league "hey it curved" call
