Per the affidavit, someone impersonating a banker at JPMorgan Chase called Turner on Feb. 19 and "claimed someone was attempting to impersonate [Turner] at a Chase Bank branch in Arizona and presented two copies of ID to execute a wire transfer," according to The Minnesota Star Tribune, which published details of the document. The caller instructed Turner to transfer money to two separate businesses to prevent the attempted theft. Turner then went to two Chase Bank branches to transfer $120,000 each to "Island Food Truck LLC" and "CNL FL LLC."

Goddamnit, the Island Food Truck was some bullshit!

Former NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been suspended from his position as a high school football coach in Miami for allegedly providing impermissible benefits to his players.

Bridgewater, 32, confirmed his suspension by Miami Northwestern in a Facebook post Sunday but said he remains committed to his alma mater.

"The suspension came from MNW and it's impossible to suspend someone who doesn't work for you. So if im suspended from MNW im free to go to another school of my choice but IM NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

"And if it comes down to it, I will volunteer from the bleachers like I used to in 2018 and 2019 when no one had a problem."

Bridgewater led Miami Northwestern to a Class 3A state championship in his first season as the coach in 2024.

He returned to the NFL in December to serve as Jared Goff's backup with the Detroit Lions but did not appear in a regular-season game. In the playoffs, he completed his only pass attempt for 3 yards in a 45-31 loss against the Washington Commanders in the divisional round.

Bridgewater posted earlier this month on Facebook that he paid for Uber rides, meals and recovery services for his players last season. He asked fans to donate to help cover such expenses this year.

He said in the post confirming his suspension that he self-reported the payments to Miami Northwestern.

The Florida High School Athletic Association confirmed to Rivals on Monday that it is gathering more information.

Bridgewater played for six NFL teams from 2014-24, compiling a 33-32 record with 15,120 passing yards and 75 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl after an 11-5 season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2015.

Steelers and Watt agree to 4-year, $144,000,000 extension.

I'm not really in favor of this but, the most expensive defense just got a bit more expensive.

9-8 is so awesome!

That's bad, but it's not even close to being the reason he needed to resign. Watch the PTFO episode. Everything about this guy and JC Tretter is super shady.

Yep. This stuff was leaked because they wanted to out him due to all the collusion and hiding info from the players union. Him and Tretter are pieces of shit that deserve to go.

Now they’re both gone.

New at @CBSSports: JC Tretter is resigning from the NFLPA. In an hourlong Sunday conversation, he clears up "mistruths" about his tenure and explains why he's leaving the union with the interim leadership role almost in his grasp https://t.co/iAdvnCeZej

A little off topic but just watched the HS girls from Austin win the NFL Flag football championship shutting out a team from California 19-0.

Levis is out for the season with shoulder surgery. While probably inevitable, it’s now definitely Cam-time in Tennessee.

I did a double take that this dude was retiring after 12 NFL seasons....seems more like 6. Fuck I'm getting old.

Somewhere in Bristol, CT Nicole Briscoe is disappointed in the Levis news. Was always fun watching her roast him on Mondays.

The "real" throwbacks are very nice, Broncos, Eagle, Seattle, Tampa and Dolphins.

I'm not crazy about the Steelers WaybackThrowback uniforms.

Agreed. Same for Green Bay's wayback uniforms.

It’s nice to be an NFL owner

According to figures from the Packers, the NFL distributed $432.6 million to each of its teams for national revenue in the last fiscal year. That would mean the NFL brought in a record $13.8 billion last fiscal year in national revenue

Criminal not to include Falcons old school uniforms. With their rightful addition the top 5 would be Eagles, Dolphins, Falcons, Bucs and Broncos.

I'm just glad he isn't out for the season. I don't like to see that for anyone.

The Las Vegas Raiders have informed defensive tackle Christian Wilkins that he has been released, the team said Thursday.

Wilkins will be released with the designation of terminated vested veteran, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Wilkins has been recovering from a Jones fracture, which he suffered in his left foot last October. Because of how Wilkins has treated the rehab from his injury, the Raiders voided the remaining $35.2 million of guaranteed money left on his contract on June 4, sources said.

The belief was that Wilkins needed another surgery on his foot; he balked at getting it, sources told ESPN. The Raiders then voided the guaranteed money left on his deal due to "failure to maintain his physical condition to play."

Wilkins had 50 days from June 4 to ask the NFLPA to file a grievance on his behalf and the union did so Thursday, the last day it was eligible, sources said.

The union had no comment Thursday night. The next step after filing a grievance would be a hearing.

Best in pro sports. You immediately know who you are watching, and somehow every combination of helmets, jerseys, and pants looks good.
