Sitting in 100 degree watching Isner play tennis has to be miserable. Like, yay, he's American, but I don't like watching him.

Isner is not finishing this match, he's been acting like death for the last couple hours.

It's apparently going to be even more humid tonight? If so, we're going to see a moat around Rafa with all of his sweating.

I wish they would just close the roof so every single storyline isn’t all about the heat.

Yeah he’s done. Is this a new Open rule based on the heat that they take a 10 min break to lockers after 3 sets for men and 2 sets for the women?

Cool I knew the AO did it but was finishing up some work and so not watching just have the scores up on the app and was wondering why it said interrupted.

Hoping it wasn’t a rain delay but it’s smart since they won’t just close the roof as u said

Isner out. Well shit is Mama said knock you out the last freaking American left in either draw now? Come on KP!

Argentines and many throughout the Americas would say that Argentines are Americans as well.

Anyway, love Delpo, don’t care for Isner, pleased with the result, Vamos Delpo!

Yes how could i forget about buck teeth

Invisalign & a little bit of elective surgery to remove the keloid scar tissue on her left shoulder would go a LONG WAY toward increasing her marketing potential.

I think that she could pay off those two cosmetic choices within the first month or two from increased endorsement earnings alone.

Always wondered about that scar, has she said what it’s from?

She's been the best server on tour and all of a sudden can't hold serve. I'd agree. Serena is taking her lunch and dinner money.

NYPD ide like to report a crime. Suspect is African American, about 5’9”, and wielding a tennis racket as an assault weapon. Victim is a tall European white woman

Consider me one of the few who isn't all giddy about the feel good story they'll be pumping out after Serena comes back to win the Open after shitting out a kid.

That game summed up the match. KP had her down 0-40 and lost it. Oh well time to go watch some crazy bitches on the Challenge.

Nadal about to get bagel'd. The way he's moving, it wouldn't surprise me if he takes significant time off after this tournament. He's looking like a complete mug vs. Thiem.

Sheesh, love hold for the bagel. Is he hurt?

Nah.  At 4-0, it was clear he was tanking the rest of the set.

He's about to even things up at a set a piece.  Match on.

Not so fast.  Nadal was up 5-3 and serving for the second set, but Thiem broke him.  Back on serve.

Nadal isn’t 100% and had dead legs in that first set before he got his teeth in the match. The beauty for a gambler of Nadal getting bageled is I was able to live bet him at + odds. Rafa in 4

Nadal is tremendous when it comes to not letting the first set affect him. He gets stronger as the match goes on.

Nadal holds with a lucky break from the net.

All the pressure in the world on Thiem now...

Thiem unraveling in key moments and Nadal looks worlds better the last few games to steal the second set. Thiem just doesn't have any variety outside of ballbashing for the lines as hard as he can. He has no net game or shot variety.

Welp, that was a fun few minutes of hope.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Interesting analysis of Novak Djokovic's return from the New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/09/01/sports/tennis/novak-djokovic-return.html

I read this earlier today and then was noticing how wide Thiem’s feet were spread on his return of serve at 30-40 last game. His feet had to have been at least 4 feet apart and then hopped right as Nadal was making contact with the serve.

Just like Djokavic... and he broke Nadal.

Thiem's had 3 break points to go up 4-1.  Couldn't convert.  Still up a break, but damn. Would have had a stranglehold on the fourth set.

At 15-30, Thiem hit a drop shot and then sat and watched from BEHIND the baseline as Rafa easily made it to the ball and dinked the ball over the net.

WTF was Thiem thinking just sitting back and watching?

I bet Kiki Mladenovic is quite demonstrative in the bedroom.

Chris Fowler has a pretty good life. Let’s call two CFB games over the weekend, then back to NYC for USO.
