Super lucky for Pato to be able to pit right before the yellow for Rossi came out. That won him the race. Sucks for Herta. He qualified on pole and was the fastest car all race, and was even about claw back a podium until a late yellow, but the yellows didn’t work in his favor and he ends up fourth. He deserved to win today.
July 27Jul 27 Author Rosenquist, sporting an aggy decal on his helmet, qualifies poorly then crashes on the first lap.
August 1Aug 1 So, Fox bought 1/3 of Penske Entertainment, which owns IndyCar & will extend their media rights deal. That's kind of a big deal. https://racer.com/2025/07/31/fox-corporation-acquires-one-third-interest-in-penske-entertainment
August 1Aug 1 Author Saw that earlier and meant to post it. Media guaranteed may help attract an oem. Would be nice if super formula would use Indy engines again, then there'd be more cars to spread r&d around.
August 9Aug 9 Author lundgard fastest in Q3, but has a 6 place penalty for changing engines, leaving pato to start the race p1. palou fucks up the final corner with about a minute left in Q3, dropping him to the 3rd row for the start. championship is still game on.
August 14Aug 14 Author Spoiler Power finally gets Penske into the winner's circle, still doesn't have a contract for next year.
August 24Aug 24 This facility is wonderful, except for the total lack of a scoring pylon. The TV screen on pit lane is all the reference we have. There are two other such screens at T1 and T4.
August 25Aug 25 Goddamn, that was a fun final stint. Rasmussen was really mellow and friendly. Buxton as well. If you're ever taking a kid to a race, the IndyCar Rookies program is a tremendous value for the $50ish annual cost. Edited August 25Aug 25 by Prepuce of Doom
