Good question.  I pondered that before myself.

"Okay...I came up with this calendar.  It starts....RIGHT NOW!"

"But sir, according to the oracles, and the solstice, and all that other shit, it's the middle of June.  So we just missed the first half of the very first year EVER?  That doesn't seem right."

We have a lazy susan on our dining table (how asian of us).

My son spun it real quick and a glass container flew off shattering on the floor. He said he wanted to see what would happen if he did that. *dumbass*

He already felt bad so I didn't give him any more grief. I did however take the opportunity to teach him about centrifugal forces inertia. I may talk about about rotational velocity during dinner tonight.

fixed for the physics nerds among us.

also, show him this video:

"Deep thoughts by Jill Handey."

He's getting close to pre-puberty. The other day, he apparently told Mrs. Doom that, "I think my dingaling is increasing in mass."

I use that same line to let the missus know it’s time for some Saturday night friskiness.

Yes, that's for fixing it. It's been 30+ years since my last physics class.

Been teaching my kid about inertia, friction and rotational velocity. Probably getting it all wrong, but at least I'm keeping him away from a screen 1 stupid lesson at a time.

2 of my nephews were reading some book and one sentence said, "a geyser shoots water.." One nephew read it as "a geezer(old man)" and the older one says, "the word is geyser." The younger then proceeds to tell all of us "Don't you know what a geezer geyser is? It when an old man pees out of his boner."

My 10 YO boy is slim but is SOLID muscle.

I’m 51 YO and don’t remember the last time I worked out.

So anyway, he’s being doing BJJ the past 1+ year. I watch him at the gym so now I think I know king fu. We wrestled in the living room yesterday, and that boy is freakin’ strong.

As he got me in side control, he whispered in my ear “dad, you need to start working out because I’ll dominate you once I get to 90 pounds”

(he’s only 80 now)
