March 14Mar 14 Looks worth a watch. F1 drivers are WILD. There is only a handful of them. Twenty+? The shit they can do is wild
March 15Mar 15 At what point are we allowed to tell Brad Pitt that he's too old to believably play these parts? Before or after we tell Tom Cruise? Also, judging from the trailer, they seem to basically be remaking that terrible Sly Stallone movie Driven, with F1 cars instead of CART. That said, I am so fucking in.

Yeah it'll be Top Gun on wheels, with great cinematography, on par with Top Gun, and probably a similarly shitty plot. Like the Top Gun movies, the great cinematography will make it worth suffering through the poor plot imho. I'm still amazed at the fact they actually just named it 'F1' though. BTW, me & my 21 yo were at Daytona when they shot those 24H scenes. Who knows. Maybe we're in the movie. Edited March 18Mar 18 by wood

March 18Mar 18 Top gun, either one, having a poor plot is not something i expected people to say. It's not Hell or High Water or Sicario...but it wasn't a flimsy plot either.
June 27Jun 27 We have tickets for the Bullock IMAX, home of the $18 popcorn bucket with no free refills.

June 28Jun 28 Movie was great - def see it in theaters. Saw it in those DBox seats, which was very cool for this flick.
June 28Jun 28 Evo has $5 tickets on Tuesdays. Came out to 15 bucks for 2 tickets after fees for my daughter and I for next week. Right now Fandango is offering a $10 discount if you buy 2 or more tickets using Apple Pay with the code APPLEPAYTEN. Got our tickets for 5 bucks total. Will likely see it again in IMAX with my buddies if it is good.
June 28Jun 28 I’ve always enjoyed Rush so we watched it again tonight as a chaser to F1. It’s cool seeing the differences between modern F1 and the 1970s version.

June 28Jun 28 TG2 has me willing to watch a Kozinski movie about paint drying. And I’d watch a movie of Brad Pitt reading an algebra book. (No homo) Edited June 28Jun 28 by Parliament

June 28Jun 28 Y’all convinced me. Going at noon. I have a casual interest in F1 meaning I turn it on in the background 2-3 times a year. This is a movie for movie fans in general, not just F1 or racing fans. The visuals and sound are incredible. We don’t have IMAX nearby but we saw it in a Dolby Cinema with a large screen and great sound and it felt like we were right in the middle of the action. The score by HZ was perfect and the soundtrack was very good.

June 28Jun 28 I've heard it compared to Maverick on the race track...if anywhere close I'm sure it'll be great...and I'll probably see it this coming week.

June 28Jun 28 Think I’m gonna check it out later today, found a regal gift card that has 50 dollars on it and have no idea where I got it from. One question IMAX or ScreenX?

June 28Jun 28 I found it to be an enjoyable summer movie. Spoiler But seriously, an F1 racing team worth 9 figures doesn't do a basic physical on their driver? Like not even a once over to notice the huge scar running down his back? And then after winning F1, leaves Matty Ehrmantraut's widow to go to Baja, to race in jumping dune buggies with a spinal x-ray that rivals wolverine?

Popcorn machine was broken. The movie was not. Pretty damn good. Definitely better at IMAX. I had the same thought of the very end as the @crony spoiler.

June 29Jun 29 Saw it yesterday at the IMAX in Kyle. It's not the Bullock, but it's the best IMAX screen I've seen outside of the Bullock. And you still get to pick your seats, unlike the Bullock. Better movie than I was expecting. Better than Rush and Ford v Ferrari imho. Not on the level of LeMans or Grand Prix for me, but I doubt anything ever will be. Funny at times, decent story, fantastic action scenes. Good entertainment. Lots of familiar faces, even some I've met. Some silly Hollywood-ized moments that avid F1 fans will catch, but they aren't big enough to ruin anything. Overall, good flick that didn't make me feel like I wasted my time or money, like so many other movies do these days. F1 is still a stupid movie title though. Edited June 29Jun 29 by wood

June 29Jun 29 144M worldwide. That's a monster number for an original movie. I need to see this before the week's out. I think IMAX screens have this till Thursday, July 10th when Superman comes out.
