I am officially declaring that winning is fun

it is even funner with the firmer aggy coach as the head coach

Some TCU coeds may approve of this statement.

Today we had a ridiculously clutch OF grab, a ridiculously clutch OF assist and as close a game-ending IF play as you can have. Without all three of those plays being made, we might well have gone 0-2 today. I like the cut of our jib.

Mississippi State is a good team, certainly have some really good arms. This conference is unforgiving though, next two weekends for them are at OU and at LSU. Easily looking at being 3-6 in conference play and that would be best case scenario

Miss State and OU got two of the easiest conference draws. Miss State misses Vandy, Georgia, Arkansas and Tennessee.

This was a series they needed to win from a RPI standpoint if they wanted any shot at hosting.

I do agree they are a solid club. They can pitch with anyone.

OU is overrated to me.

They barely scratched out a series win at home against a no so good South Carolina team. South Carolina hasn't played anybody with a pulse but Clemson, who swept them in South Carolina and now OU on the road.

SC still isn't good if they were playing on the moon.

Yeah but I don't think that's what Weiner/Schloss want on Sunday. At least that's what I've interpreted from what Schloss has said in some PC's.

It sounds like he actually wants a bullpen type day on Sundays where he throws several arms and gives different looks. I could be totally wrong but I think he's going to just keep chasing wins on Friday and Saturday then piece it together on Sunday.

Sorry, if my above post wasn't clear.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say they would love to have one starter and one finisher for each weekend game. Starter gives you 5-6 and then finisher gives you 3-4.  And they want Dre, riojas, and Grubbs to be the finishers.  With burns and volantis and others for matchups and fireman when needed.

Listening to what Lemonis said postgame for Mississippi State and he brought a rule I didn’t even think of:

On the botched pickoff attempt, it was actually a balk since Grubbs attempted a pickoff with no one covering the bag. So on a balk you get to take the result of the play or one free base. So Lemonis went out to say they would just take the free base after his guy got thrown out at home, but the umpires told him once a runner tries to advance more than one base, the balk is nullified.

Midweeks are more than likely just going to be live bullpens

Somebody has to start these games and UTRGV and Texas State twice will require full attention by players and coaches.

Riojas is scary. He has been semi-effective, but he gets hit hard.

We aren’t going to try to lose but the coaching staff is going to be much more concerned bringing guys along and getting them live work. Who starts is almost irrelevant, they are bullpen games and will continue to be from now until forever.

Will be the same suspects getting work. Flores, Hamilton, Bing (now that he is out of the rotation), Navarre. Going to probably see Flores less now that he looks like he will factor into the weekend. Depending on score and time of game Riojas, Burns, Volantis, Dre, and Grubbs will probably all be available for an inning max.

Yup. Said multiple times before the season don’t expect legit starting pitching.

He didn't win the title though and then dropped them like a hot rock.

All part of his and CDC's evil scheme.

Wait, what?  Am I misunderstanding you?  Our starting pitchers have a collective ERA of 2.6, which seems pretty good.  What are you saying?

The LSU series will be interesting. They're probably really good but they've also played absolutely nobody. #257 Strength of schedule so far.

Question for  folks with Hulu.   How do you get SEC+?   Am I missing something within Hulu  that won’t let me see these games like the second game yesterday?

I couldn't find a way to connect without using the ESPN app on my phone and casting it to my TV.

I assume you paid for ESPN+ service?

I hope this was also a dig at aggy getting swept too

“Today was just a total grind of pitching, defense and timely hits," head coach Jim Schlossnagle said. "I'm just really proud of all of our guys. … It was just a total team effort, which it has to be to pull off something like this. It's very unusual [to sweep] on the road in the SEC."

Assuming you mean you have a Hulu tv subscription package that has sec network- you use the espn app on a device (phone, smart tv native app, streaming box app, computer, whatever) and give it your Hulu tv credentials.
