we got some motherfuckin' ducks in this motherfuckin' pool

Featured Replies

every year about this time, a pair of mallards splash down in my pool.  It's been going on for 4 or 5 years now; I assume it's the same pair but I'm not sure. How long do ducks live anyway?

I chase them off, and they come back.  The showed up late yesterday, and I chased them off.  I'm enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the patio, and "splash", they are back.  I chased them off again, but I expect them to be back tonight or tomorrow.

We've had a fair bit of rain lately, and there are plenty of ponds and lakes in SoCal, and the local river, the San Luis Rey, has plenty of water now.

But those mofos really love to shit in my pool.

Same, and the occasional Canada Goose (don't tell Trump).  Not sure if it's the same ones, but we sure seem to be on their flight path.

Those have been renamed to American Geese, didn’t you get the memo

If I had a pool, I'm not sure I would want the ducks gone.  They don't add to the enjoyment?

Sure, if you enjoy stepping in duck poop on the deck and swimming in duck poop in the pool.

Cleaner than our farm pond when we were kids.

I had this problem. Borrowed my daughter's yappy dog. They left and didn't even come back the next year like they had before.

Pond would be good for you.

That’s where the pool comes in handy.

You COULD in the coin-op version. They took it out of the console port.

If they ask if you got any grapes just give them some fucking grapes or they’ll keep coming back in a very repetitive manner.

You've never had neighbors with dogs?

I've had lots of neighbors with dogs.

I've wanted to shoot one or two of my neighbors, but never the dogs. I've found that when the dogs are annoying, 100% of the time it's the dog crying for help: "Save me from life with these insufferable dickheads!"

Looks more like a goose than a duck. <Insert MorganFreemanHe’sRightYouKnow.gif here>

Geese are menaces. I’ve posted multiple times about this in the “Animals you have an irrational fear of” thread. Except my fear and loathing of geese is not irrational.

Hi Dad. Great to hear from you. Don’t forget we’re coming to visit next weekend.
