whats crazy is Schwarber had a chance for 5 going against a utility infielder throwing the 8th inning. He got some meat, but popped it up.

hmm

MLB and the Savannah Bananas have talked about the possibility of bringing the Bananas to MLB’s All-Star festivities. MLB also privately apologized to the Bananas last year after Rob Manfred publicly suggested MLB was considering the Golden At-Bat. https://t.co/gDQLNOxDP5

Remember when the PGA tour thought they could ignore LIV? This is the exact same thing, and the MLB would be wise to explore some collaboration or partnership imo.

tl;dw Chapman’s walk rate is way down because his catcher is now calling for fastball’s in a specific spot and Chapman has never thought about targeting a specific location because he was always just asked to “throw his fastball”

Just read a little about this guy and the monster year he had going in AA/AAA (1.43 ERA, 179K/114IP) and he had a pretty strong start as well

His delivery is kind of reminiscent of Lincecum.

yeah they’ve called up two absolute studs in the past couple of weeks, i’ve shared some of the other guy’s work in the “nasty pitches” thread. these two guys look the part so far. mclean, i think, is the other guy.

This is the truth.  Both of these guys look like the real deal. McLean just threw everything exactly where he wanted his last start and Tong looks like  an Asian Lincecum.

lol it was a bad contract

"Does he look 26?. When you're 26, you have a youthful glow... I think there's a good chance he's not 26, I'll say it." - WFAN's Brandon Tierney ponders if Juan Soto is telling the truth about his age.

this guy doesn’t want juan soto, the best all around left handed hitter in the game, to play for the yankees, clearly expressing that soto has been a disappointment, and then taking it so far as to question if soto is really 26. keeping in mind that left handed hitting jazz chisholm is going to go 30/30 (or close to it) hitting in that ballpark, i’d like to take this moment to point out this yankee gan that juan soto is currently at .254 with 102 runs, 35 hr, 84 rbi, and 24 sb, while leading the league in walks, and this is, by any measure, a down year for him at the plate. incredible. helo, do you have any relatives in NY doing sports radio?

#3372

soto with another sb. he’s on pace for a 40 hr/30 sb season. don’t think anybody had that on their bingo card.

#3373

he shouldn’t have been standing there.

Fernando Tatis launched a batting practice rocket that accidentally hit a kid in the stands. Moments later, he made it right - tossing the same kid a signed ball. Pure class.#ForTheFaithful | #MNTwins

Kyle Schwarber and Shohei Ohtani are having MVP-caliber seasons in 2025.Who’s your NL MVP favorite as of now?

if kyle schwarber stood at 1B all year and made 15 errors it would actually help his mvp candidacy, and that’s weird.

If Ohtani can get a few quality starts under his belt, and the Dodgers can hold on and win the division, I think that’ll separate him.

You sure? I’m not convinced yet.

Up to what now, 39? 40?

I feel ya. We were there a couple years ago. Well, not quite as far down, but a hundo in the L column still sucks rancid ass.

Scary scene here in Houston. Hopefully Taylor Ward is OK.(Just last night after the game, he and Jo Adell were talking about how dangerous it can be to hit that that out of town scoreboard wrong.)

Tanner Scott gives up 3 with 2 out in the 8th to let the Dbacks tie it up, and then in the bottom of the 9th, Will Smith pinch hits for Dalton Rushing…

Will Smith rescues Tanner Scott and the Dodgers, drilling a walk-off homer. Big enough for him to flip the bat a bit, a shock. Also, Freddie Freeman and Clayton Kershaw with old man celebrations.

damn. being carted off after a non-contact pitching injury can’t be good.

Padres all-star reliever Jason Adam had to be carted off the field after he collapsed with an apparent left leg injuryHope he is ok🙏
