That would be interesting to know. Now  my curiosity is piqued.

I’d bet there’s been more.

Yes, I would hope most of you Texans would be Kershaw fans.  He’s going to retire back in Dallas.  He’s a Texan.  But he’s a true blue Dodger as a player.  He’s a Mt Rushmore LA athlete- Magic, Kershaw, Kobe and pick the 4th.  I say Jerry West.

We’re going to have to play the wild card round, but solid win.  Clinched a playoff spot tonight.  Like every year for the last 13.

Steve Garvey - he’s fathered enough kids to garner the votes.

KAJ, Wooden, Walton, John McKay, and although his playing career was in Brooklyn I’d give Jackie a nod.

Anyone who doesn’t think Shohei is the greatest player in baseball history isn’t paying attention.

The fan who caught Mike Trout’s 400th HR received some signed bats and he had one more request. To play catch with Trout.

My 7 yo self still remembers where I was for this one.

4-T) 14 runs (1st inning): Reds vs. Astros -- Aug. 3, 1989

Mid-40s self doesn’t really want to psychoanalyze why that is and how that’s impacted social and mental well being

Why is Bos/TB at 6:35 tonight?

Because Jets at Tampa Bay is 1:05 local and we get Manfred’d tomorrow with only 3 games (none of which are TB/Boston)?

The Cincinnati Reds now control their destiny for the third wild card spot in the National League. They own the tiebreaker over the New York Mets, who previously had been in control of a playoff spot every day since April 5.

16-2 for Cleveland over that span, and 1 game behind Detroit for the division after sweeping them in the last series. They have a very good chance of taking the division now. Crazy comeback for them, with the next 3 games against the Tigers to possibly decide it. Cleveland is up 6-4 on the season series, so they secure tiebreaker with 1 win, which may be the difference.

Go watch Skubal's b6,

er, hb, balk... has given up 3 runs and the lead, the ball hasn't left the infield.

#3696

Gentleman, while all that's well and good, we need the context.

I can't explain Skub's error with a straight face. I'll wait for the video that should be around real soon.

But there wasn't a HBP charged to him, either. Fry goes to bunt, hits it a hair low and it goes straight to his nose. That's right, he took it right to the kisser. Can't imagine what it did to his sniffer. I wouldn't be surprised if it required surgery. It was bad. Skub's felt bad about it too, but he didn't tell him to bunt.

That error though... pure. keystone. cop. Yakkity sax would be perfect for that play (which was after Kwan tapped a bunt), and the smack to the nose made for another bunt, all consecutive.

That was a wild inning. I laughed, I cried.

Guardians get 3 runs off Skubal in the 6th without a ball leaving the infield to take a  3-2 lead

B7 was just as weird.  Kahnle got the first two guys out and was 0-2 on Austin Hedges (!).  From there, Cleveland scored two runs.

Benetti sounds like someone shot his dog.
