The Cleveland Guardians are in first place in the American League Central after trailing by 15.5 games in July. Remarkable.

watching that real time, at first it appeared to square him up.  Cleveland TV didn't even want to show a replay.

really took Skubal out of his game, although he had already done that bone-headed between the legs throw to first.

Right?

You could tell he felt horrible over it happening. Not that he did anything, shit just happens sometimes. Hope Fry's alright, and not seriously fucked.

Exactly.  He hung out in front of the mound while Fry was attended to and looked like he wanted to go check on him in person as Fry was carted off the field.

He looked a little woozy getting onto the cart.

George Springer was absolutely IRATE after his grounder down the line was called foul and then struck out on a ball off the plate on the next pitch

Tanner Scott can’t be allowed to pitch again this season

vesia should have been named your closer a month ago. scott’s second half era is above 8.00.

these two 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The M's and Guardians have combined to put together a 31-3 over the last 2.5 weeks.

Judge hits homers #50 & 51 tonight. Joins Ruth, McGuire, and Sosa as the only players with at least four 50 homer seasons in MLB history.

This is the man that caught cal Raleigh’s 60th home run! He gave it to a kid who got swept away by the mariners team employees. What a gem and a Seattle legend

🚨❤️🤍 BREAKING: William Saliba, on the verge of signing new long term deal at Arsenal after improved proposal, as per @David_Ornstein.#AFC sent new contract terms in August, assessed by Saliba and his agent in the recent weeks.Saliba now close to accepting and get it sealed.

reminder: david ross retired (largely anonymously), then got talked out of retirement by theo epstein, joe maddon, and john lester, and ended up being the clubhouse leader for the cubs’ 2016 world champions, capping it off with a hr in game 7. love that guy. what a story.

We had the Jays at home last week. Pretty sure it was kirk, anyway his MLB headshot on the scoreboard, he done looks like a customer of the failed “Opti-Grab” invention. Crosseyed as fuck.

He quotes Major League, embraces looking like Farva from Super Troopers and drinks beer like Stone Cold Steve Austin. That’s real MVP shit. https://t.co/R6sHZU8gcp

he also has hands like johnny bench. look at those mitts! i bet he’d make for an awesome closer.

If I hear one more person talk about Raleigh being an “elite” defender I will lose it. His defensive metrics are terrible. The only thing he does well is frame pitches, which is the biggest joke of a defensive skill in the history of the game and will be utterly useless with the introduction of ABS next year.

what i’m hearing you say is that derek jeter is wildly overrated and shouldn’t be in the hall. i think that’s a great point helo, and i totally agree.

#3739

also, pitch framing will not be “utterly useless” with and in place. the average pitches thrown per game per team is 145-147. each team gets two succesful challenges per game. you do the math, as always, i’m doing the alfredo.

Players in MLB HISTORY to have back-to-back seasons with a sub-2.00 ERA, 10.0+ K/9 & 100+ IP: Paul Skenes (2024-25) That’s it.

Idk about you guys but I like my MVP to produce in big moments when their team needs them to step up the most.Cal has blown Judge out of the water in those exact situations this year

They get to keep them if they keep winning them I think, meaning there could be 20 in a game if it’s called poorly enough.

Lol at Cal literally having twice the sample size as judge. Sorry judge isn’t on a team that shitty.

Gentleman, while all that's well and good, we need the context.

I can't explain Skub's error with a straight face. I'll wait for the video that should be around real soon.

But there wasn't a HBP charged to him, either. Fry goes to bunt, hits it a hair low and it goes straight to his nose. That's right, he took it right to the kisser. Can't imagine what it did to his sniffer. I wouldn't be surprised if it required surgery. It was bad. Skub's felt bad about it too, but he didn't tell him to bunt.

That error though... pure. keystone. cop. Yakkity sax would be perfect for that play (which was after Kwan tapped a bunt), and the smack to the nose made for another bunt, all consecutive.

That was a wild inning. I laughed, I cried.

This guy’s schtick gets a little old, but I think Tom Hamilton is one of the best in the biz and his call of that inning is worth the listen.

bro you’re like 40 now, yes? you have got to give this stupid shit up at some point.

yankees: 90-68

mariners: 89-69

yankees payroll:  $299,659,029

mariners payroll: $161,075,506

aaron judge: stands out in rf watching pop flies go into the bleachers

cal raleigh: plays the most demanding position in baseball every day and manages one of the better pitching staffs in baseball

yeah tough call.

you’re the only person on this entire forum who is clueless to the difference between being an every day catcher and being a right fielder, as well as being the only person here who has no understanding of the historic significance of a catcher having this type of a season.

you’ve been viewed as a harmless joke of a poster around here for probably 15 years now, but im imploring you: fucking learn about baseball, or stop posting here.
