The Dodgers placed Max Muncy on the 10-day injured list this evening, an inevitability after he was helped off the field following an ugly left knee injury yesterday. He has been diagnosed with a bone bruise and tells Sonja Chen of MLB.com that he expects to be out for roughly six weeks. Imaging did not reveal any structural damage.

Was scrolling through the Yanks' defensive stats, did not expect to see Beau's hero log an out in CF.

Looks like Boone preferred Bellinger's range/wingspan at 1st against lefty Mayer with 1 out in bot 10, zombie winner on 3rd.

It was a 5-infielder thing in the 10th.  He got nowhere near CF, but Bellinger came in to play 1st, and he moved over between 1st and 2nd.  I had seen a clip of him taking grounders at 2nd earlier in the season, and was like WTF??

Anyways, I can't wait to use this in Immaculate Grid when it asks for a Yankee center fielder.  DiMaggio, Mantle, Goldschmidt...

Blue Jays sweep the Yankees, lead the AL East

After intentionally walking Judge 5 times in 3 games. Also, tonight Judge broke Mantle’s franchise record for most IBB’s in a season. On July fucking 3rd. Manfred wants to grow the game, bring in more fans, drive up attendance, how about making teams actually face the superstars of the game? How about letting them showcase their ability? You limit the shift and other things, why not limit intentional walks? It’s pussy ass bullshit.

They've got to think of a different nickname for Raleigh.  "Big Dumper" just makes me think of dropping a deuce.

Well, that is allegedly why he got the nickname to begin with. So, I guess it worked?

Gary Sanchez takes a foul ball off the cup, announcer goes, “Think it got him right in the Roman candle”. Interesting analogy with the July 4th chest protector.

umpire just ruined the game in cleveland. detroit is ahead 2-1 with 2 outs, bottom nine, and kwan on 2B. manzardo is at the plate and is ahead 2-0, with jose ramirez in deck. the third pitch of the ab was way above the zone, but was called a strike. instead of 3-0 it’s 2-1, next pitch is weakly grounded to the pitcher, game over. robot umps can’t get here soon enough.

pitch 7 was called strike one.

Yeah, that's why.  I lived through rope caps as a child and I thought they had been eradicated, but they're back.  Like measles.
