  • #1 and previously undefeated Tennessee lost in extra innings to a directional school tonight. Shit happens on Tuesdays.    still sucks, but get some perspective

  • Long shot homer gives ETSU a 7-6 lead, going to the bottom of the 10th.

Vols threaten, but don't score and ETSU hands #1 Tennessee their first loss of the season, 7-6 in ten innings.

Vitello sick of his socials being flooded with aggy.  Knows one loss like this will send them scurrying in another direction for a while.

Not sure I've ever seen a jeter jump throw from the pitcher.  Seems....unnecessary?

Did Bing just throw five perfect innings? He gave up a sac fly, but the run was attributed to Rerick, right?

Only lightly watching.

You're right, not just no hits.  15 up, 15 down for Bing.

It was very much Bing Crosby, his wife Mary had attended UT and wanted her daughter Kristin to go to UT.

This was in the 80's.

I should know I was at UT then and saw Bing on Campus once

About to get pulled.

There is a lot to like about Schloss, but this is probably my favorite change from Pierce. Pierce left pitchers in way too long. We’d all predict what was about to happen. Schloss, on the other hand, demands his pitchers (particularly relievers) throw strikes and has a short leash (the complete other side of the leash spectrum from Pierce).

Sounds like pitcher 4 is where we need to go.

And Schloss has no qualms about getting the hook and pulling your ass in the middle of the count (Ball 5) if you can't throw strikes.
