March 22Mar 22 The excerpt below got me - Man Charged in Ruby Slipper Heist Dies National News Federal prosecutors have dropped charges against Jerry Hal Saliterman, one of the men accused of stealing the "Wizard of Oz" ruby slippers in 2005. The motion to dismiss was filed after Saliterman, 77, passed away on Sunday. Saliterman was indicted in March 2024 on charges related to the theft and witness tampering. Saliterman allegedly concealed the slippers for years, even threatening a witness to prevent them from speaking with the FBI. The famous slippers, worth over $100,000, were recovered in 2018 after an extensive investigation. The pair was sold for $32 million at auction in December 2024.

I guess I’m confused. what about this makes you especially angry? that someone is stupid enough to pay $32MM for a pair of shoes?

But, the whole professionally written excerpt was shit.

Not for the $250 gift card, but for the sole purpose of letting them know how infuriating the personal shoppers are. It’s obviously not working, but I’m not stopping my crusade.
March 23Mar 23 Popular Post People driving in the left lane at or below the speed limit. Trip to/from Louisiana this weekend took WAY TOO LONG because too many mfers couldn't comprehend the concept of a passing lane 🤬

Trip to/from Louisiana this weekend took WAY TOO LONG because too many mfers couldn't comprehend the concept of a passing lane 🤬 I don’t think you understand what that lane is for. You see, there is no lane to the left, so a driver that wants to check his smart phone can slide in, knowing he doesn’t have to pay full attention to the traffic around him
March 24Mar 24 When you pull up behind someone in the left lane (4 lane road) at a red light and no left turn lane, and they wait for the light to turn green to turn on their left turn blinker.

This makes be pretty ragey, especially the truck-bros that think they are driving semi's - you don't have to swing wide left to make a right-hand turn, or back the other way.

THIS... semi trucks should be restricted to the right lane under penalty of death (except for emergencies)... Have done two long distance drives on I-10 in the past few months and the amount of times I got stuck behind a truck trying to pass another truck at a 95 year old persons walking pace was absolutely infuriating

Same thing, multiple times: get behind a truck, and even cars and SUVs, going .0000001 mph faster than the truck they were "passing" in the right lane. No, fuckers. Pass him. Meaning, for around 30 seconds, actually push down on your gas pedal, add 5 mph or so to your speed, complete the pass, then get back over in the right lane. The correct move is not "drive next to a 100 foot long vehicle for 10 minutes as I gain 10 feet per minute on him."

March 24Mar 24 Nor is it f'ing safe to spend any amount of time next to or around semis. If one of those tires blows, it's an explosion. An outright explosion sending tire parts off in every direction and there's no stopping that big rig careening off to that side. That much mass changing directions that quickly is a PROBLEM....

No fucking shit. I don't understand how everyone doesn't have the impulse to get the fuck past every semi they are next to right quick. I hate getting stuck next to one, for that very reason.

Two lane road, enough room to pass, so he goes around this semi and the front left tire explodes. Car is pelted with shredded tire and metal, sends him careening off the road and threw a barbed wire fence that luckily might have saved him as it wrapped around the axle and he came to a stop. A creek. A cliff. Large tree close to the road. He's cooked. Fucking hell man, those big trucks need to be given a wide berth.

Every one of you slow as fucks that needs to look around find your dam bag, pack up your shit when you've been sitting there for a while to get that done. And if you have a connecting flight, why are they not allowed to go first? And there is a door at the back of the plane for refilling all the beverages. Why the hell can't we have two entry/egress options?

Why the hell can't we have two entry/egress options? Yes! While I am not a fan of the European tendency to use buses to go to/from the terminal, I do appreciate using both doors. Posting this from a plane and the dude in the row in front of my had a ridonculous carry-on that barely fit in the new, upgraded UA bins. F that dude.
