Once again, this was a situation in where the top 5-10 in the sport just were not going to leave. They have their programs rolling and at a high level already. Those coaches get whatever they want fro

Upgrading our coach is the biggest win of the offseason.

Regarding Heide and his 3P%, his low attemps are partly a result of his low minutes. In the postseason, his attempts climbed to 3.2 a game (hitting 62%), and in games where he played more than 22 minutes a game he averaged 3.6 per game.

To put it in perspective, his 6.8 3P attempts per 100 possessions puts him in the same range as Matt Coleman, and a little more than Brock Cunningham. Not a TON of shots, but enough to matter if he can hit them.

lol they didn’t even include Cal or Stanford

I’m surprised they didn’t force us to play SMU.

The acc is going to suck next year outside of Duke and NC State, I think. None of those matchups look appealing except for the 1st one. Nawf Carolina will be mediocre. Maybe that NC State at Auburn game will be decent.

Welcome to the mega conferences - 16 for SEC, 18 for ACC, so 2 have to sit out

It’s just noticeable the two that have to sit are the two in California who really shouldn’t be in the conference to begin with.

Hah - "just go play the LA schools, guys, we know you want to."

Auburn

i’ve been wondering if this team might be something like 2024 auburn, minus johni broome. deep, big, lots of good players, no go-to guy, high floor, but maybe lower ceiling/vulnerable to tourney upsets. obviously haven’t even seen this team play together yet, but just looking at the roster it kinda reminds me of that auburn team- again, not player for player, but just in general roster composition, depth, abundance of good players, lack of a star.

Who is Auburn bringing back? Didn't they lose like 5 or 6 from their rotation.

Pettiford is their only returning starter.  They also bring in the #1 JUCO recruit, a few transfers from UCF (led the Big 12 in scoring), Tech and MSST, a couple top 60 kids from the 2025 class, a 7-foot JUCO transfer and a Serbian PF

Seat selection for Men’s Basketball starts this week.

They added more courtside seats this year along the baseline.

Why are the schedules so wildly different from men’s and women’s?

18 games vs 16 games

I assume the women play 2 fewer games because the SEC WBB tournament is always the week before the men's, so the women are done with the regular season and SEC postseason before the men even start their SEC postseason.

Was hoping I could move a little closer (my time slot was today at 10:55) but kept my seats in 118, row F. No premium seats and only a few closer rows behind the visitor bench - oh well, I guess that means a high renewal rate/hopefully some energy behind the program - now if people would just show up/use their tickets...

Yeah, I ended up keeping my seats in 108 as well. It is crazy to me that all these germania club seats are sold and it’s the same 20% of people I see at every game with most seats being empty all season.

It's not just Germania club, but the whole arena.  In 123, there's several regular groups around us and the rest of the time is always somebody different or empty.  I was able to move up 2 rows just now and keep my aisle seats which was a surprise.

OU, A&M, and UGA are the teams we play home and away.

Weird

It should be Arky. I guess the SEC doesn't really consider us rivals.

My guess is you only had 2 rivals to choose from.

Arkansas chose LSU and Missouri for their H/H, who I believe they consider more of a rivalry with them than with Texas in the year of our lord, 2025.

If this was 1996, it might be a different story.

I’m guessing you got to chose 2 then the 3rd game for a H/H was at the discretion of the SEC since Arkansas’ 3rd H/H will be with Auburn. But, A&M’s H/H three are us, ou, and lsu. #BOMC

Yep. Seems likely each school picked 2 and the third one rotates. We are always going to pick OU and aggy as our 2, given the option

They need to get in line.

No good place to put this so I'll just mention here that Phish is playing the Moody Center tonight and tomorrow.

Let's hope it doesn't still smell like weed in November for the home opener!

I'm mesmerized by that gif - that girl is not playing.  Wonder if the rest of the video is available somewhere - I'd like to see it in its entirety!
