March 24Mar 24 This hire has grown on me for a myriad of reasons Anyways here’s a free article about him and what he brings to the table https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/sean-miller-to-texas-coaching-style-offensive-system-and-recruiting-outlook/ Excerpt: Offensive Identity Miller’s offensive philosophy is modern and efficient, focusing on threes, shots at the rim, and getting to the free-throw line. His teams employ heavy ball reversals and off-ball movement to confuse defenses and generate clean looks. They play in transition often—about 20% of possessions, according to Synergy Sports—scoring 1.171 points per shot on the break, which ranks in the 92nd percentile.

March 25Mar 25 Not really a BB guy, but let’s ride the fresh momentum. Hopefully this early of a hire will help in nationwide recruiting? Hell, he might even bring one or two with him from Xavier, let alone current commits that he had to decide against what will be available at UT.Hook’em!!!
March 25Mar 25 Not even carrying on secn? They have better content to show on a Tuesday morning? Marty smith’s visit to a rib restaurant in rural Georgia maybe? Edited March 25Mar 25 by Pato del Muerto

March 25Mar 25 Interesting that the basketball coach PC is held in the football stadium. May say something about the larger organization focus.

March 25Mar 25 I want a team with a great inside game that dominates in the paint and around the rim. A team that can penetrate and take high percentage shots, instead of passing the ball around the perimeter until the shot clock expires. Will this be that?

Any "betrayal" they feel thus shouldn't have come as a shock. And never mind that Xavier rehired him after his messy dismissal at Arizona, so they didn't look so good then, either. I know his latest Xavier stint is being spun as a "second chance," but I'm guessing they wouldn't have been that forgiving of a lesser coach.
March 25Mar 25 that's cute. Xavier probably hired him because he was he best coach available that they could get. now Xavier is going to have to steal someone else's coach. maybe they should hire an assistant to have the moral high ground still.
