August 29, 20187 yr Also known as the Real Madrid inevitability experiment. Hopefully the departure of ronaldo to Juve will make this slightly more interesting. Juve now carries the burden of being the presumptive favorite i assume. Draw is tomorrow, pots below: Pot 1 Real Madrid (holders) Atlético Madrid (UEFA Europa League winners) Barcelona Bayern München Manchester City Juventus Paris Saint-Germain Lokomotiv Moskva Pot 2 Borussia Dortmund 89.000 Porto 86.000 Manchester United 82.000 Shakhtar Donetsk 81.000 Napoli 78.000 Tottenham Hotspur 67.000 Roma 64.000Pot 3 Schalke 62.000 Lyon 59.500 Monaco 57.000 Ajax 53.500 CSKA Moskva 45.000Pot 4 Club Brugge 29.500 Galatasaray 29.500 Young Boys 20.500 Internazionale Milano 16.000 Hoffenheim 14.285 AEK Athens 10.000 TBD Liverpool 62.000 Valencia 36.000 Viktoria Plzeň 33.000 3 more play-off winners: Crvena zvezda 10.750 or Salzburg 55.500 BATE Borisov 20.500 or PSV Eindhoven 36.000 Benfica 80.000 or PAOK 29.500
August 29, 20187 yr City and Barcelona at 6/1 were the odds-makers favorites the last time I checked. Juve was up there though.

August 30, 20187 yr At least Valencia didn’t drop to Pot 4. I think they have turned the corner even though they lost to Espanyol last weekend. A group with Liverpool as the 3 and them as 4 would be fucking rough.

August 30, 20187 yr For all those who've never watched the draw, it's brutal. Think "first round of the NFL draft" brutal. Pomp, circumstance, bullshit, awards, etc.

Pomp, circumstance, bullshit, awards, etc. I agree but I also understand why they make such a big production out of it. Take out all the shit and the actual draw takes 5 minutes. I also think it's more comparable to the NCAA tourney selection show vs. 1st round of the NFL draft.

August 30, 20187 yr The Galatassaray people look pretty fucking happy for a Pot 4 squad. I don't think they could have drawn a better group if they tried.

August 30, 20187 yr Yeah--Inter is Italy's version of Arsenal. They've got the name, but they haven't done shit in awhile. I'm pretty ok with having them in B. Eindhoven, on the other hand, is going to be tough.
