welp, now bayern has to win outright in 90 to advance.  given how shitty they have been, that seems...unlikely.

2-0 Barca, nicely worked goal finished by Suarez setting up Coutinho (too soon?) to tap into the empty net

Pretty sure that was the case from the beginning of the game...

Nvm. Guess it could have gone 0-0.

I guess the long ball to set up the goal was onside?  I thought it might go to VAR

Liverpool's attack so far seems to be punt balls downfield and hope Salah or Mane make a play.

As a Madrid fan I’m rooting for chaos and for Barca to go home without the cup. So I’m rooting for yalls favorite EPL/Bundisliga/Ligue 1/eridvise whatever team now.

It would have been a short review. He was on by a good yard.

Nice goal from Messi.  3-1 Barca should close that one out

Bayern just got outworked. Pool isn't the sharpest team, esp in the midfield, but good lord they are fast on the break. So difficult to stick with for 90 minutes.

So it's Ajax, Juve, Man City, Man United, Porto, Spurs, Barca, and Liverpool.  The draw is Friday morning.  A Manchester derby would be fun.

I want

Juventus vs Barca

Man City vs Man United

Liverpool vs Porto

Bayern is old and slow. Ribery was awful on the left and their lead feet centerbacks got exposed.

Really looked bad today. No significant leadership.

Bayern’s World Cup generation are all in their mid 30’s now.

5-1 Dembele.  Messi now has 2 goals and 2 assists.

So now hat-trick?

Well...

This was obvious as fuck in Russia 2018.

My guess is that Bayern is going Jogi Löw's lead and move on from the pairing. They should have sold Boateng last year when there was interest, because Hummels didn't have, nor will he have many suitors.

If Belichick were overseeing the Bayern roster, both CDs would have been gone in either the summer of 2018 or possibly the summer of 2017. They are like milk a couple of years after their expiration date.

City vs United

Juventus vs Spurs

Porto vs Ajax

I think Juve/Barca, Spurs/Pool would be more entertaining.

I think Juve would handle Tottenham pretty easily tbh.

1 June 2019. Madrid, Spain

What a time that would be!

Yeah, that would be fun.  It's at the new stadium and not the Bernabeu.

Read this morning City and United cannot both play at home on the same night or on back-to-back nights. If they both draw at home for their first legs, United will be forced to play their first leg away due to their lower position in the table at the end of the 2018 season.
