Tennessee definitely needs to get their shakras aligned

I think the other night I said that Houston reminded me of those old Georgetown teams that were just so tough on defense. This Houston team is that, and then some. These guys are just relentless. It’s damned fun to watch. I’m not a Cougar fan but, I enjoy watching them play. They remind me a bit of that Baylor team a few years back that won the title.

Tennessee has 3 on 1 and couldn’t score.  Torbush

Tennessee is getting good looks, and part of the reason they keep missing is because of how great Houston’s D is

This makes no sense.

y’all- tennessee is trying to drive the ball, they just can’t. and when they do get by their man they’re met by a couple of houston’s huge and athletic help defenders. the game plan is not to take a million threes, those are simply the only open shots that tennessee is getting.

They might not win or score much but at least they started paying attention to driving the lane, and the 3s came after that.

My father was the king of calling games before they were done. The absolute best at getting it wrong. I remember sitting at home watching that game and my parents went to Saturday night mass and as Dad walked out the door at halftime he said, “no way Georgetown can beat Kentucky”. Needless to say he was a bit surprised when they got home after mass.

Blows my mind that this UH defense didn't really bother us at all. It's been obvious how good they were all year but it's crazy to see it play out like this.

Up 7 at the half, Ewing in foul trouble and then….. 3/33 happened.

tennessee just drove the ball four different times in one possession and it ended with a TO. houston’s defense is shutting that shit down completely.

I’ve seen more called goal tending in this tournament than the entire season combined.

yeah that was a pretty huge no-call on a clear jawun roberts foul. instead of tennessee ball and roberts sent to the bench with his fourth foul, houston gets the ball, scores, and now JW can stay in the game. massive no-call.

If I heard right, they can review it if it's called, but not if it isn't. So maybe they call it if it's close.

This may be it, fellas. An entire career dedicated to the tireless pursuit of offensive ineptitude culminates in this masterpiece. Rick's magnum opus.

It was one of the most amazing halfs of ball that I have ever watched. It was amazing.

They’ve been trying to get that 10 second call all game.

if tennessee doesn’t miss a million wide open shots in the 1H then this is anybody’s game right now.

well when ziegler and lanier go 4-23 you aren't going to win many games if you are Tennessee.

Maybe have the ref that doesn’t stutter do the announcements.

Cousin Vinny immediately came to mind.

Might be the back breaker on that 3.

Houston melting down

Not really.

that is just completely shitty defense.  does Tenn only have 4 players out there?

Just call it and go. Why does this take so long?!

The reviews suck. System is totally broken

We don’t need to spend 3 to 5 minutes figuring out there’s 22.7 seconds left and not 22.4 seconds left

they just ran out of baskets?

Houston also getting to be really physical with no whistle. Bad news for Tenn

this.  We need to start a campaign right now talking about how suffocating/physical our defense is under Miller.  just hammer it everywhere so we can foul the shit out of our opponents and call it just great "physical" D.

that’s not what happened. the shot clock was erroneously reset even though u of h never lost possession. they had to reset the clock from 28 to 22.
