You arent trading Framber in the next 2 weeks.

Should have traded him in the offseason if you wanted to trade him....or hoped we were completely out of it at this point.

I also realize we have a winning record against the other division leaders, have played a tough schedule and have the easiest schedule left the rest of the year. Maybe we are that good and we just ride it out. Win the next two and the next series and we will all feel better. Fuck it. Those were some damn good bloody Mary’s this morning. Let’s win a World Series.

Dude, did you see that injury report update from yesterday?

we have half a starting roster that will be coming back in the next month.

yeah maybe there is another injury here and there in the meantime, but tread water the next 3 weeks until the Yankee series and put the hammer down the last month and a half.

How the hell did Terrell Owens heal well enough in 7 weeks post surgery for a leg break and torn ligaments and Alvarez, Spencer, Pena, and Zach are healing at the rate of 90 year old men?

Seriously, we were told Spencer broke his thumb over 3 months ago, DeZenzo first went on the 10-day IL for hand inflammation the first of June and got transferred to the 60-day about a week ago,  Pena has a small, non-displace rib fracture that is going on 3-weeks, Alvarez over 2-months with hand inflammation, and Melton has been down for over 5-weeks with a sprained ankle from turning and chasing a fly ball.

WTF?  I have read and heard stories about athletes leaving colleges to go pro and commenting there were more resources available to them in things such as nutrition and recovery at their former school, but is the Astros training room an ultra sound machine, a whirlpool, a couple of ice buckets, and assorted Cramer products?

If you are from the future. It’s 1-6 since the dodgers series right now, but likely to be 1-7 in about 10 hours.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Alvarez issue is not sports or orthopedic ? Maybe medical , maybe psoriatic arthritis or RA (he’s had a lot of joint issues)   I would assume the medical staff has had him see a rheumatologist ? Maybe he needs to get some Humira from Phil Michelson , or maybe they did but his grandmother has a home remedy he’s been trying.

Alvarez is from Cuba and we all know how Jobu came through for Pedro.

I agree on the medical question, if I remember correctly he already has had the microfracture surgery done on a knee which is something I wouldn't have expected in a fairly young baseball player.

Ronnie has said he wouldn't do that again based upon the pain and how poorly he played in the game.

I mentioned Owens in that Super Bowl game because for 7 weeks he would sleep in that hyperbolic chamber he bought, he did the treatment with the magnets,  the guy was flipping over ever fucking rock to come back from a damn serious injury and went 9 catches for 120+ yards against the Pats.

It isn't just Yordan, 5 weeks for a fucking sprain ankle hurt playing in the outfield. These aren't exactly the softball fields I played intramurals on in college with the big ass cracks in them because they were never watered.

Arrighetti 3 innings, 0 ER, 1 hit, 0 BB, 43 pitches

It’s a broken bone. He should be called up to pitch his 60 pitches or whatever he’s up to next Friday to begin the homestand. He can piggyback with LMJ and combined they can get through 6 innings (maybe).

I had several bourbons last night and gave it up before it got ugly. Hopefully we can turn it around tonight. In honor of the British Open being in Northern Ireland I'm drinking Irish whisky tonight. If things go badly I'll just pour myself another drink.

We may lead major league baseball in threatening in the 1st inning and then choking away the opportunity. So frustrating

his season is done ....

Brendan Rodgers has a nasal fracture and a concussion following his collision last night in Triple-A Sugar Land, according to the Astros. Rodgers has been returned from his rehab assignment and will undergo further evaluation, according to the team.

good for him though, sob up that injury time / pay
