Dana lost us this game. You can’t convince me otherwise. His bullshit with the bottom of the bullpen and not having Yordan up.

We had already won the first 3.  Winning too much isn't good for the kids.

Yordan Alvarez's 4th double of his rehab assignment, he drives home two which makes it 3 RBIs today. He's ready

Rather than be the 12th batter in the 7th, Yordan Alvarez is lifted for a PH. He’d already doubled in the inning (below), finishes 2-4, 3 RBI. That should be it for his 4-game rehab (.467 BA, 1.262 OPS) w/ @cchooks. Expected to be in #Astros lineup for their next game (Tues) https://t.co/qcs2gxUPAt

excellent rehab numbers

If they are going to bring up that prospect from AA after just a few games shouldn't he go to AAA first then see how he does before jumping to mlb. Stupid on front office to bring a prospect up that quickly.

You guys are the exact type of assholes who care only about the big league team then go around high fiving everyone when these games help Corpus catch Midland for third place in the South division of the Tezas League Second Half standings.

The fact that this motherfucker hasn't been in Houston since about June is sooooooooooooo irritating. It's like Dana is on a one man crusade to make me (even) crazy(er) than normal.

From your nutsack to your throat if you manifest that into the universe.

Yordan career

1.031 OPS in LF

0.924 as DH

You bring up an interesting point.  Playoffs (especially at MMP) it really should be (against RHP):

Pena (SS)

Alvarez (LF)

Altuve (DH)

Correa (3B)

Sanchez (RF)

Walker (1B)

Diaz (C)

Urias (2b)

Meyers (CF).

Against LHP go ahead and put Cam in RF and Dubon at 2B.  That's maximized lineup.  Yordan should have plenty of fresh legs (made of glass) since he sat on his ass all year b/c of the hand). That shouldn't affect his play in the field at all.  Altuve is one of the few guys who doesn't ever seem to pay a DH tax.  Alvarez, Yainer and Caratini especially all seem to. Which is normal. There is almost always a PH and DH tax paid since the beginning of time.

You're playing a minor league team, dummy.

Yall keep watching the Mariners, which, ok, whatever. Winning the division but not getting the 1 or 2 seed is sort of pointless, not much functional difference between the 3-6 seed.
Scoreboard watching should be for Toronto (last bye) and KC/Cleveland/texas (actual playoff spot). Mariners are pretty pointless other than prestige of winning west.

So we are about to drop U-Verse and unless I'm missing something, there is going to be no way to watch the Astros any more unless they appear on a normal broadcast channel. Space City Network isn't available except for DirectTV stream, which we probably don't want. Am I missing an option that isn't too expensive? I'm leaning to YTTV and guess I could pay for something else on top of that.  The wife wants her Astros.

FuboTV is your only streaming option.

Does Fubo have Austin local ABC channel, KVUE? In some places on their website it says yes, but others it just has a generic ABC channel.

No, at least it wasn't a couple of years ago.  DirecTV does though because that's what we have.  You could sign up for pbs anywhere, but it's not the same as the channel.

DirectTV Stream is your best option. Price is comparable to YouTube TV. Their interface is very good and their mobile app works flawlessly on my iPhone.

The multi view available on FuboTV when you are using an AppleTV is awesome for college football.  I think YouTubeTV has the same thing but when I tried it a while back it was very slow to switch between feeds and I was not impressed.

Thanks. This is consistent with what I saw on the website. NBC and CBS are local affiliates and Fox and ABC are national feeds.

Get a pair of rabbit ears for local channels.

for Astros, mlb.tv subscription is $23 for the rest of the year and add Unlocator’s SmartDNS subscription (~$5/mo)

Random observations:

That’s a stacked first half on the home schedule and weak 2nd half. Red Sox, Yankees and dodgers at home all before May 6.

one Thursday game between June 11 and August 20.

getting frequent flier miles to Ohio in late April/early May: 3 game road trip to Cleveland Apr 20-22. 3 game road trip to Cincinnati May 8-10 (and inevitably one of those will get snowed or rained out necessitating a return trip on one of those Thursday off days).

how do we keep drawing the long straw to get opening day and Father’s Day at home?

#14850

lot of fucking missed games. i'm amazed we're over .500

Astros players have missed 1823 days due to injury this year. Only the Dodgers have more days missed. Today Houston gets their best hitter back.
