I snuck on to the field and did the same thing, spreading my Dads ashes out in RF in 2019. We used to watch 50+ games a year together in section 134. Made me a Stros fan since birth. He had the best s

This is playing with both hands tied behind our backs. And maybe both legs. Show some life out there.

Not gonna be today man.

We might get swept, but they can never take away that weekend in LA.

That probably does it. We've had epic fails in every aspect of the game this series.

Going into today he had been our best reliever. True story. You can even look it up.

Sparks jinxed him at the start of the inning talking about him having the best whip in the history of the team or something like that

Evidently not. Flat as a flounder.

Had we looked against LA the way we have since, I'd have understood it. I mean,  I'm glad we didn't, but the amazing parlor tricks we've been using aren't working this week. Regression to the mean, yada yada.

"Right calf tightness" for Jake. Same issue as before. Obviously wasn't ready to come back.

His era was a little worse than Abreu, his FIP was much better. He was 2-0 and none of the 4 games he gave up runs were important to the game, whereas every time Abreu gives up a run we lose.

If that’s all it is thank goodness. You’d think they’d be able to figure out if it’s an Achilles or a torn calf, but you’d also think they’d could ID a broken hand or broken ribs, so who knows.

Watching our AAA outfielders strike out AB after AB sure is fun.

Edit: Not even AAA starters. These guys are replacements of replacements.

Jake, Yordan, Chas ---> Melton and Dezenzo --> Hummel and Trammell.

Jake could have hopped off the field holding his severed foot in his hand and “calf tightness” would still be all we get from this medical staff.

Go make a fucking trade for Tauchman. Taylor, Hummel, and Short are all failed MLB players. Fucking stop signing them over real MLB bench guys.

Guess you can't expect the rookie to come through everytime.

Shitty series. We come in red hot, they come in losing 10 in a row, so of course they sweep us. Baseball gonna baseball

I am glad i watched every minute of this aaa team trying to beat this dogshit team 1 time. Fuck it.

Longest losing streak of the year and 48 hours to think about it

Swept? 🤬 Now I know what it feels like to be a Dodger! 🤬🤬

“I’ve been to all 30 active ballparks. Since 2015, I’ve averaged over 100 Astros games a season and 92 Postseason games. I own over 50 Astros New Era hats. And I have caught four home run balls and dozens of foul balls during games. I’m the ultimate Astros superfan because Astros baseball has been in my DNA since I arrived in Houston from a refugee camp in the summer of 1979. For over a decade now, I’ve been able to live out my childhood dream by catching hundreds of Astros games a season,” said Nguyen Le.

Well thats par for the course....sweep the Dodgers then get buttfucked by the shitty Guardians.

Cool. Cool.

Aaron Boone said DJ LeMahieu was willing to begin working at 3B again, but the position had been too physically demanding for him. There were lengthy discussions yesterday and today between LeMahieu, Boone and Brian Cashman. LeMahieu didn’t ask for his release and is not happy with the outcome.

LeMahieu would make sense at second, but whom would he replace?  I can't imagine an Astros team without Hummel or Trammell or Short or Rodgers or Guillorme.

Cool. Cool.

If it makes you feel better, the Dodgers were just swept by the Brewers.

So, if it’s a grade 2 calf strain (and I don’t believe yet that they have any idea it’s not torn or an Achilles) we are looking at 8 weeks. Call it early to mid September if nothing goes wrong

i think you have to plan for finishing the year without him.
that tells me that we definitely need Chas back at the end of the all star break so we see if we have to fix CF or not.
I don’t love Mullins but he plays CF passably (same as Chas) and hits left handed. Hes basically almost a must get at this time. Ideal would be a platoon with he and Chas at LF, but one can play center and one can play left if Meyers, Yordan and Melton all don’t work out and if Altuve gets shifted to 2B in playoffs.
probably ideal playoff lineup

Peña, Paredes, Altuve, Yordan, Smith, Diaz, Walker, Chas/Melton, Meyers/Mullins

PH- Caratini (DH if Yordan is dead of has a hook for a hand by then).
PR- Melton if he doesn’t start

3rd catcher- Salazar- never plays, utility/defensive replacement- Dubon

this requires one trade for a mediocre dude that nevertheless fits us perfectly, plus Yordan, Chas, Melton, Meyers and Pena to all get healthy. All of their timelines are such that they should easily be healthy by then according to what the team is saying. But, Astros medical staff.
