Boo-birds better double up on their bitchass stamina with Correa's return to the Bayou City.

Wow, you really think it has that much riding on it? We haven't even really seen any of his draft picks really develop into MLB talent for that being his calling card. Not that he's really been in the role long enough.

Jesus fucking Christ, Dana has been the GM since January 2023. What the fuck did you expect him to do drafting at the back of the order and with the lost picks?

Hell, Matthews is one of his and showed potential, but go ahead and get in football season mode for when Arch doesn't got for 400 and 5 in the first game.

Bregman looking over at that other dugout and seeing Correa's arm around Altuve.

Well if he'd just stuck around and torn HIS hamstring...

Passing a physical for the Astros should be easy.

Will the Twinkies accept that prospect though?

Sounds as if Carlos needs to switch from doing commercials for HEB and become a spokeman for The Good Feet Store.

Still no details on Correa trade (what Astros are sending, how much money Twins are retaining)?

In interview with MLB. com, Correa says he’s happy to come home to the team where he started career. He said it was clear Minnesota wasn’t going in the direction he wanted and they agreed to find a trade. “I let them know there was only one team I would allow that to happen.”

I will bet you $100 that Daniella was a huge force in getting Carlos back here. Her friends and family are in Laredo and I’m sure she prefers H-town over Minnesota by a factor of 1,000.

I’m afraid this Correa trade probably means sayonara to Framber next year. Crane isn’t going to live over the cap.

That will make the clubhouse erupt with cheer. He’s a complete asshole with an IQ of 50.

I am excited to see #1 return to the good guys, loved watching him play everyday.

He's a true fiery leader, something the team this year has sorely lacked.

So Dubon to center now with Urias and Carlos taking 2nd and 3rd, Sanchez in outfield/dh?

Just as long as we don't see fucking Cooper Hummel.

C: Diaz, Caratini

1B: Walker

2B: Urias

3B: Correa

SS: Pena

OF: Smith, Trammell, Sanchez

DH: Altuve

UTL: Dubon

That leaves 2 spots.

Astros getting Jesús Sánchez, Carlos Correa, and maybe Dylan Cease makes me feel a lot less good about the Mariners' deadline deals.

Yeah, I'm presuming most common lineup will feature Correa 3B, Pena SS, Urias 2B, Walker 1B, Diaz/Caratini C/DH, OF of Sanchez, Smith, and Dubon/Trammell.

#10794

Dubon is still gonna fulfill his original role and provide plug and play for days off.

It's a vital piece to have IMHO.

Don't love tying up $30M with Carlos the next two years and the lose of draft pick, but it is Crane's money and team.  He did say he wants to contend each year so I guess let it rip.

Each one of those guys actually is better than the players other than Dubon in those spots, allows Altuve to be a pure DH and out of left field,  Dubon in center ain't bad, and there is some roster flexibility in games .

So since Brendan Rodgers isn't on the 40-man anymore, can Carlos just grab #1 without any considerations?

I was thinking about that too.  That scrub never deserved #1

seeing it like this makes me feel like there will be no Alvarez coming back.

I still hate Trammell being on this team.  He's better than Hummel but that ain't saying shit.

I doubt it's the full 30m. Everyone knows that's a bad contract. If the Twins eat 10-15m of it each year, that would be a fair deal to take on the rest. After all, the Astros were the only team he would lift his NTC for, so they were over a barrel on this one.

Happy to have him back, I hope he is reinvigorated by coming to a club with playoff hopes and a positive outlook!

We may not be done dealing, so who knows who will be on the team this time tomorrow
