Ex fucking zactly.

Was dickhead Dana on today for his Sunday morning hit?
What did he say?

Dana:

Hader: have him for 3 more years, have to be careful with this one, particularly when it's the shoulder. allow him to rehab and see what that looks like. 3 weeks seems like an eternity this time of year but hopefully we can get him back, do something down the stretch or in the postseason

Abreu: main thing is leverage opportunities. sometimes the 8th, sometimes the 9th. most of the time it's the 9th. very difficult to get last 3 outs. feel very comfortable with him. has closer stuff

Sousa: live and die with the slider. yesterday, got one in the middle of the plate and got the best of him. been good since he's been up. has that look in his eyes "I'm not going back to the minors". needs to mix in a fastball a little more often to set up the slider.

Yordan: Yee haw...we got him going. go Tuesday, give him a day off, then go back-to-back to see how he reacts to that.  Seeing him go on this rehab is a good thing, means he's not feeling any pain. He's in a good mood.

Re: position: focused on him hitting. not too worried about field right. need his bat. goal is to get him back as soon as possible.

May see him the back end of the road trip. confident for the next home series. but need to see how he reacts and feels.

LMJ: having discussions about next steps with him now. and Garcia. and France. going through it daily with the front office and coaching staff to see who should come back first.  Lance may be first, but still talking through it. At some point, will see all 3 back.

Garcia: will get another minor league start at least. LMJ has been pitching a good part of the season. just about figured it out, but still having conversations. probably LMJ, then Garcia, and the France. Not fully decided, but would make the logical sense.

Did Dana touch on the plan for Costanza? He’s pitching too well to send him down again.

No. Ford didn’t ask about corresponding moves and Dana didn’t offer

Yes he has options as evidenced by he already got sent down and back up once.

If Spencer’s next start isn’t good, he still has options as well.

I mean- ignoring what it says about or chances of winning this game the thought would be Javier is likely out for the year. So, there’s that.

#13484

not good ...

Cristian Javier, in his second start back from Tommy John surgery, has exited after 50 pitches and three innings. His velocity was down across the board. Stay tuned.
Cristian Javier is coming out of the game after throwing 50 pitches in three innings. His velo was down across the board. Shawn Dubin is coming in.

I don't know what it's gonna take for Crane to fire the entire medical staff, but he needs to do it.

When that happens they’ll change the rule. Until then, good luck.

the players union doesn’t want it to go back. The owners don’t care (concessions have been shut down). There just isn’t anyone that wants it except fans like us that pine for the days when a team would play 22 innings one night and come back for a day game that goes 13 innings the next

Lulz at Puhl talking about these two games right now

Holy shit...... I just got to where I could see the Astros lineup and it is time for an intervention for Espada.

There is no legitimate reason to have Melton batting 8th and Trammell 9th.

Wasn't the entire purpose for creating the DH to avoid this type of situation?
