1 down, 2 to go to win the season series with the Rangers. This is important because ties go by HTH record now.

Yordan will be back by JUne.  It's just a sprained ankle.  It doesn't require surgery.

Activate Paredes and have one of our several journeymen give way to Cole. Whatever it takes.

Not this shit again. Cole is absolutely eligible to play in the playoffs. Anyone in the Org on 8/31/2025 is eligible. There is a llittle tap dance required for orgs to put someone else on the IL, but if they want him to play in the playoffs and strike out 80% of the time he will. Hope the other 20% are home runs.

Incorrect.  Cole is eligible for postseason as he was in the Org the whole year.

He was only added to the 40 man when he got called up. According to the info that was posted earlier that would make him ineligible unless he gets a waiver due to injury.

I think they have been pretty free with those waivers as long as you can point to some injured player and it is pitcher for pitcher or hitter for hitter (not even necessarily the same pisition).

Huckleberry.

But to recap. Cole was with the organization all sesaon, but wasn't added to the 40 man roster until after the deadline. He needs a exemption for a injured player currently on the 40 man roster, which shouldn't be a problem.

To be eligible for an MLB postseason roster, a player must be in the organization's organization as of 11:59 p.m. ET on August 31 and must have been on the 40-man roster or the injured list (IL). Players acquired through waivers, trades, or any other means after this deadline are ineligible for the postseason roster.
Key Criteria for Eligibility:
August 31 Deadline: The player must be part of the team's organization by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 31.
40-man roster: Players must have been on their team's 40-man roster by the deadline.
Injured List: Players on the team's injured list (including the 60-day IL) as of the August 31 deadline are also eligible.
In-Season Suspension: A player who was suspended for a performance-enhancing drug (PED) violation during the season is ineligible for postseason play that year.
Exceptions for Special Circumstances:
A player who doesn't meet the Aug. 31 criteria can still become eligible if they were in the organization on Aug. 31 and are replacing an injured player on the roster.
The replacement player must have served the minimum time required for activation off the injured list (e.g., 10 days for the 10-day IL, 60 days for the 60-day IL).

With Paredes, we'll have the best one dimensional pinch hitter situation in the league.

Heading to the Twins today, Brewers tomorrow and Royals thursday. Any tips/tricks for any of these stadiums???

hopefully the astros xray machine has some juice left in it .....

Yes.  They have been so free with them that the next time someone gets turned down will absolutely be the first.

3 putt is right. MKE is a great city but don’t listen to him about stadiums. (He thinks the Trop was one of the greatest stadiums in the league).

Miller Park (or whatever it’s called) is a cheap dump. It opened a year after Daikin but feels a lot older. Maybe a game with the roof open I’d have a different opinion, but a night game with the roof closed, it’s dark, dreary and drab.

target field and Kaufman are underrated gems.
i was aurprised at how small the footprint is at Target Field. They do a great job with the amount of space they have.

do the Negro League museum at Kaufman.

Espada says Yordan has “significant strain” and “out for a while”. Gee. Doctors sure aren’t as specific as they used to be.
