Astros GM Dana Brown today when asked about Alvarez's return with @SeanUnfiltered on @SportsTalk790."It's a matter of when he says I'm ready to go and he'll be back in the lineup."Espada and Brown have clearly put the ball in Alvarez's court.

Way to throw the player under the bus Front Office. You know the waterheads will eat that up....i mean just read the dumbass responses to that tweet

Maybe Yordan got a 2nd opinion and its different than the Astro's doctors and Front Office is not amused with this situation either.

We just want the big man back healthy.

At least we've found some offense.

Dana needs to work on his communication to the press. No reason to make it Alvarez’s issue similar to talking about Tucker’s bruise from last year.

To be fair to Dana, Tags' tweet isn't really a complete representation of his full answer.

Starts at about the 11:30 mark.....https://sportstalk790.iheart.com/featured/sean-salisbury/content/2025-05-28-dana-brown-talks-astros-hot-bats-mariners-series-win-alvarezs-return/

I think it's literally just a soft tissue pain management issue and they want his hand to be fully healed before he's back in the lineup.

Yeah, still working back. Stay away from any more fucking injuries and he could be big for us this year Hopefully he figures out giving up the double/hr pitch in situations when he’s cruising.

Pinch hitting Dubon is certainly a choice. Yainer is 3 for 7 against Severino with 2 homers. Why is Salazar on the roster?

Yainer has a scheduled day off don't you see?  To hell with actually trying to win today's game.

Figures Walker would get hurt just when he shows signs of not being completely fucking worthless

I need the Astros to get to 87 wins to hit my season win total bet. Every game matters!

That’s 2 balls that would have been caught in left (maybe, first one debatable). Is ‘tuve that deteriorated at 2nd? At least non caught balls at 2nd would less likely result in a double every time.

He was easily the worst second baseman in the majors the last 2 years.

And maybe the worst left fielder this year. If he needs to play the field when not DHing, try right field and move an actual outfielder to left.
