March 31Mar 31 This will probably be one of those rare occasions where most of the country will be rooting for the Longhorns. HVL isn’t well liked and Sedona Prince is a huge piece of shit. Fuck the cockroaches.

March 31Mar 31 This is a game where Texas' preseason conditioning will shine against a team who plays all their starters 33+ mpg. Press those girls for 40 minutes, wear them out, get them in foul trouble - they have no depth. Texas will keep rotating guards (Preston, Lee, Harmon, Holle, Jak) and bigs (Jones and Oldacre) as needed. Texas is the second most physical team TCU has faced all year - South Carolina crushed them. WV pressed them for 40 minutes twice and turned them over a lot, but Texas is a more elite press defense and team than WV.
March 31Mar 31 I hope this is the year Coach Schaefer gets the monkey off his back. For all the regular season successes he has had, he has underperformed in the tourney. Booker and Harmon have to play smart and under control. Oldacre and Jones need to be fed the ball often. Both are amazing in the paint. Edited March 31Mar 31 by UTEE97

March 31Mar 31 That’s the aggy talking point. He’s really only had 1 or 2 years where he underperformed substantially - one year at MSU and then 2023. And our 2023 team was so flawed after Morris went out and never recovered from her injury. He overperformed a few seasons, has met expectations or gotten close to expectations.

Granted - the officiating was so fucking horrendous last game that I think it kind of threw Texas off their game and you couple that with some bad turnovers and missed bunnies and TENN was able to hang around for 4 Qs and really threaten until the last couple mins. Play that game 20 times (with maybe a different crew) and I think Texas wins over half of them by 12+. And Texas still closed it out without much drama. That is to say, if Texas just gets a decent (or competent, really) whistle and cleans some stuff up it's going to be some serious uphill sledding for Frog unless they go nuclear from 3.

Admittedly, I am a newer follower of WBB but I thought he had underperformed the last few years I watched us in the tourney.

Van Lith went to play for the “best” coach and felt like she got hung out to dry by her and split LSU to TCU where she may help get to Final Four (instead of LSU). Seems kinda Cinderella to me.

It is, in the sense that TCU has never been to a Final Four. Texas is not going to be who people are rooting for 🤣

Paye was at Stanford under Tara since 2007 - it was a full on continuity from Tara to her associate HC. Granted, Tara leaving led to a lot of departures. Would Chris keep all the talent with Geno gone?

Tennessee hasn’t had that magic since she retired. Then again, I was hoping Duke would have to wander the desert in men’s basketball after Coach K retired and, well, here we are.

Replacing a legend is hard. But yeah, it ain’t always like Duke MBB @Pancho, any insight on our officials tonight?

March 31Mar 31 I'm just here to listen to the female announcers and ESPN pundits unnaturally force slang into every sentence. "Madi Buckets" "Dropped a 20-piece" The ESPN lady just said "When was the last time someone dropped 3 30 straight pieces?" in reference to Paige Bueckers. FFS.
