Riverside was fuckin' STRONG in the mid/late 90s, but the best Hooters I ever saw was the Lubbock store within the 1st couple months of opening - this was maybe 2002? 2003? Every hot piece of ass on the Llano Estacado must have signed up.

After actually reading the AP article on this that's hidden in the screenshot above, what's really happening here is a group of franchisees that includes the original founders are buying the Hooters brand back from the dipshit private equity fund that drove the brand into the ground. So if anything, Hooters is likely to return to greatness here.

April 6Apr 6 For the Chili's discussion. Quote Texas Roadhouse has replaced Olive Garden as America’s top casual dining chain. The two chains were followed by Chili’s, Applebee’s and Buffalo Wild Wings. Olive Garden had held the title since 2018, but a resurgence in Texas Roadhouse’s popularity has pushed the casual steakhouse ahead. https://www.fox4news.com/news/top-casual-dining-restaurant-2025 I'm more surprised by BWW.

The Italian neo-realist movement in film was neither Italian nor neo nor particularly realist. Discuss. The Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy nor Roman nor an Empire. Chili's doesn't actually serve chili. Discuss.

With the price they go for now, you can get better bar type food for the same price. Also, not real surprised by this announcement. At least in North Dallas, if you want scantly clad women, there are better places. If you want want a sports bar with better food but not there girls there are tons of better options. I think the attraction that hooters had when I was in my 20s was that it was much harder to find the combination of sports bar with lots of TVs, good food, good looking women and food service. Wish they had one closer to Allen/McKinney Allen had the tilted kilt and it went under, best they’ll get now is that new twin peaks in Plano. Unless someone develops a chicken tenders focused tit restaurant. As an adult born in 1981 I would have agreed with this years ago, but now with kids, I’m less picky about local versus chain. 1 hour ago, Hate said: Chili's no longer serves chili...wtf? last time I checked ours still had it so maybe it’s regional/location based now?

Food and beer is fine at Twin Peaks, but their mixed drinks are very watered down. There is a Knockouts on 75 and Spring Creek. Its okay. Service is really hit or miss though, depending on who the bartender is

April 8Apr 8 Gen Z likes chili's because of instagram memes. They're like the groupthink generation. Hopefully gen alpha/beta are more intelligent and independent thinkers. I'm a Millennial born in 1989 and I can't remember the last time I went to a sit-down chain restaurant. Fast food? Sure.

I'm born 1982 and haven't been to a sit down national chain restaurant in years. I think the last one was Chuys and I left depressed. I really cannot agree with your Gen Z criticism. They didn't create these stupid shitty chain restaurants, they rose to prominence during the heyday of the Boomers. What's more group think than an entire generation buying identical looking tract houses in identical looking suburbs and all deciding that they wanted to eat at restaurants that all look and taste the same? April 14Apr 14 I'm an old ass millennial and grew up in Topeka, Kansas the chain restaurant capitol of the great plains. Texas roadhouse is still a guilty pleasure, but I haven't been to any of these others in over a decade.
