Getting it started is the idiot pussy who felt the need to open carry a steak knife from his AirBnB at a beachfront in England. What an insecure little pussy.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/herne-bay-tourist-knife-kent-b2730231.html

Police arrested an American tourist who admitted to openly carrying a knife on a British beachfront.

The man had reportedly been as he sunbathing in Herne Bay on Thursday when locals reported to Kent Police that he was carrying a knife.

The American reportedly told officers he came from an open-carry state in the US, claiming he had the blade for protection and was unaware he could not carry it in public in the UK.

After being arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife, he was handed a community resolution where British law around knife crime was “fully explained to him”, police said.

It is believed the tourist had picked up the steak knife from the kitchen of his rental property close to the coastline on Thursday April 3.

“In interview, the man made a full admission to possessing the knife in public and explained he had not understood UK law around possession of knives.

The maximum penalty for an adult carrying a knife or weapon illegally is either four years in prison, an unlimited fine, or both. British law states offenders will get a prison sentence if they are convicted of carrying a knife or weapon illegally more than once.

What kind of pussy is on vacation at a beach in England and thinks he needs a steak knife for protection?

He would not have lasted very long at South Padre or Galveston back in the 80s or 90s during spring break.

And if he stabs somebody with it, because there's nothing stopping his hand he's liable to cut the fuck out of his own hand when he hits bone and his fist slides forward over the blade.

Lol Americans and cognitive dissonance. Spend half the time trashing the places they travel for vacation as shit holes (full of liberals or brown people)

It’s not like they to vacation in Alabama or North Dakota

Not everybody had parents who could send us off to the Caribbean or Europe or even Florida for Spring Break.

An American tourist’s visit to the Colosseum in Rome took a turn for the terrifying after the man impaled himself on a fence and was left dangling and screaming in pain, while other visitors looked on in horror, according to Italian news outlets.

The gruesome incident took place around 5 p.m. Friday, when the 47-year-old American attempted to climb over a fence in Piazza del Colosseo, presumably to get a closer look at the historic Roman amphitheater, according to reporting by Il Messaggero.

The man fell and was skewered by the sharp metal bars of the fence. He began screaming and bleeding profusely until he became unconscious, the newspaper reported.

An ambulance rushed to the scene, and medics found that the man had suffered a severe injury in his lower back that was preventing him from moving. They administered a sedative before carefully detaching him and applying a tight bandage to the wound.

It took around 20 minutes to detach and stabilize the tourist, according to Il Messaggero. He was then taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He underwent emergency surgery and received 80 stitches to close the wound.

“It was terrible,” a tourist told the newspaper in Italian. “I saw that man impaled on a railing and he couldn’t free himself.”

The man’s identity has not been released, but he is reported to also be a resident of Taiwan, according to Il Messaggero. The man was unable to speak for several hours but was questioned by Italian law enforcement on Sunday, the outlet reported.

I try not to laugh at others pain, but some Darwin Award candidates just make it absolutely impossible.

And... I agree. That would have sent a pretty clear message.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Colin_Scott#:~:text=On June 7%2C 2016%2C Colin,spring in Yellowstone National Park.

On June 7, 2016, Colin Nathaniel Scott, a 23-year-old American man from Portland, Oregon, died after falling into a thermal hot spring in Yellowstone National Park. The incident occurred in the Norris Geyser Basin, an area known for its geothermal features, including acidic and high-temperature hot springs. Scott and his sister, Sable Scott, had deviated from the designated boardwalk area and entered a restricted section of the park. Reports indicate that they intended to partake in "hot potting," the prohibited activity of bathing in Yellowstone's thermal pools.

When park officials arrived at the scene, they initially found partial remains, including Scott's head, upper torso, and hands.[1] However, the extreme heat of the spring, which had reached 100 °C (212 °F), along with an incoming lightning storm, prevented immediate recovery. By the following day, the acidic water had dissolved his body, leaving only a few personal belongings, such as his wallet and flip-flops.

Ed Sheeran required a skin graft on his foot after he walked off path and stepped in a hot spring while traveling up a volcano in Iceland. He's told the story in several interviews. It was his 25th birthday.

Couple of summers ago, I took the TGV from Germany to Paris. If you've ever ridden the TGV, you know how crowded and chaotic the boarding process is.

So my wife and I get on the train, and fight our way through the crowded stairs to the upper level of the train where are seats are, but get stuck in the mosh at the top of the stair. Can't move forward or back, people just crammed in.

There was this American family of father, mother, teenage son, teenage daughter, and younger son who had just an incredible shit load of baggage. I honestly have no idea how they managed to get on the train with all their shit. They were behind us a little ways on the stairs, also completely log jammed, like everybody else.

Trains starts pulling away from the station, and the mother starts screaming about one of her bags. "Did you get my bag!!?? Did you leave it at the station?? Frank, where's my bag?" at the top of her lungs. Just completely losing her shit. Screaming at her family for losing her bag, screaming at the train conductors to stop the train, etc. Just completely unbelievable. As if they were actually going to stop the high speed train and return to the station for her stupid bag.

People were laughing at her in three or four different languages.

I don't have many parental/husband victories - but one is "teaching" the rest of the family how to travel light and fast.  This helped so much when we went to England with my son's soccer team and Sweden & Denmark with my daughters.  So many people just had a ridiculous amount of unneeded crap.  We just did a lot of laundry and mixed outfits.  Shit's not that hard.  If you need an accessory, we're not in the middle of Africa, just go buy it.

Not my photo.  But should anyone question whether this is photoshopped or otherwise some urban myth, I saw it with my own eyes and took my own picture when I was there in 2004 on my (first) honeymoon.

Pretty much.  My son is easy.  The wife/daughter had a magnitude of shit that I've been whittling down over the years.  Hair dryer, curling irons, bag and bags of makeup.  And endless stream of fucking shoes.  We did get a smaller, more expensive hair dryer that they share.  They can buy or share makeup....that was a concession so they get to shop when they get there.  And if course hotels with the ability to do laundry is a must.  We don't ski much anymore, but that was the absolute worst.  At least we rented equipment, but fuck me it was a beating.  Why do I need a dozen different outfits to sit and drink at the lodge!
