Where is this?

West Texas

In the past 10 years ( I didnt go past that) we have had only 1 day in April that will be as hot as today (95-96) and that was back in April 2020. No other days were hotter than 92. Consequently, in the past 10 years only April 2020 had more than 1 day in the 90s in DFW. And that year was 2 days total for the month. I am not gruntled for this upcoming year. The only good news I have seen is that La Nina is over now officially.

Last night, the local news out here said that if it hits 100 today, it will be the earliest ever in the season for it to get that hot. This is just the first shot of real heat, and it's supposed to be decent for the rest of the week after today.

Spring was absolutely ruined by all the dust storms last month, so hopefully the milder temps stick around before someone opens the oven door again.

I made sure we had family dinner outside every night this week.

see you in October, patio.

 Very wishful thinking.

Edited by 4th&Five

so since summer is generally considered to start on June 1st, is it a good sign when it's 103 degrees, more than 2 weeks before summer starts?

Spring in Texas is like watching a speeding train pass by.

Texans bitching about heat.

I'm glad the usual cast of characters is rounding into form.

Now we need an out-of-state douche or two to post a screenshot of the weather in some economically-unsustainable town with nothing but Moose in every direction for miles.

i am telling you, this dry air is glorious. I will take 104 and 25% humidity all day.

It's 95 with 90% humidity that completely sucks.

Austinites will be hanging around Rainey hoping for Nicole's icy touch of death and the cool waters of Town Lake.

That's why I'm spending August and some of Sep at 7200 feet in Colorado. Fuck the heat.

C'mon man.

Heat records are going to get obliterated all over the state this week. The average high in Austin on 5/14 is 86. The record is 97. Current forecast is 105.

It's not even fucking Summer yet.

I was thinking more like Beaver Creek or Taos.

I bet it does not hit 105.

You are making bets on whether or not it hits 105 on May 13. Forest, trees and shit.

20 degrees above normal is totes normal.

I'd like to point out that the past two mornings were incredibly nice in Austin and completely unfair.

It is 87 degrees in Georgetown right now.

Supposed to be over 90 already and 102 by four.

I will be shocked if it gets that hot with this thin cloud layer and breeze.

We will see I guess but these are the same guys that predict ice and snow and nothing ever happens.

This morning was humid though.

Give me 61 and humid again and I won't complain

It's 79 degrees at 7:42 in the morning. It feels disgusting in dfw right now. In fucking mid may.
