October 3Oct 3 Blastfurnace has about 16 hours of gas left in it. Heat index pushing 100 at 11 am tomorrow right before the front starts rolling through and dragging Summer out kicking and screaming. It should really start feeling much improved over the course of Thursday as drier air settles in.You fucking liar…..
October 5Oct 5 Fucking little league games were miserable today. And not just because the kids couldn’t throw a strike to save their lives.
October 6Oct 6 93/74 forecast for tomorrow in Houston. That's 7 above the average high and 10 above the average low for 10/7. No sign of any legit fronts before next weekend maybe, but by this Friday it should feel a bit nicer than the early part of this week. Dewpoints drop back into the low 50's this weekend, so it will be unseasonably warm, but not miserable, and should be pretty nice in the mornings and after sunset. Let’s not act like it’s instantly high in the 70s the moment October rolls around. Texas is hot

It's gonna be miserable hot and sweaty....until one day, we get hit with a massive cold snap and ice storm and the power grid shuts down and HEB isn't even open. Those are our only two options. You get an option of miserable hot, or miserable cold.

My memory may be off, but my first year back (2019) early October was this hot if not hotter. I want to say here in Houston we were pushing 100 every day until about week 3 and then it went from 100 to 45 in one day.
October 8Oct 8 Completely unexpected, but got about 45 minutes of rain last night between 9-10 in my neck of 77018. More than a drizzle, but not exactly a drought buster. Another muggy day with temps 8-9 above the average high and low today. Drier air not set to arrive until late tomorrow evening. At this time Friday morning, the dewpoint should be about 20 degrees lower than it is currently.

October 9Oct 9 Hard to call this a "cold front", given that highs will still be around 90, but this weekend is gonna feel so much nicer than the last few days. "Dry front" is probably a better term. Sidenote, if you want a reminder of just how dumb the general public is, read the replies when local weather anchor posts something like this. The amount of people that can't read a clearly-labeled chart and/or don't understand the difference between dewpoint and temperature is impressive. Edited October 9Oct 9 by Storm the Field

October 9Oct 9 We used to get high in 1998 and watch the weather channel after leaving the UGL. Loved it.

I think the STICKY line indicates the dew point at which it feels sticky, maybe 68 or so. But the location of the word makes it look like Friday and Saturday will be STICKY, even though those are the 2 days with the lowest dew point.

October 10Oct 10 Feels pretty damn good out there this morning. I'd love if it were 8-10 degrees colder, but I'll take what I can get for now. Spending the weekend in Baton Rouge and I definitely ain't complaining about this forecast:
October 11Oct 11 Moving forward I'm going to assume there no highs in the 70s or 80s. For about 330 days of the year we have highs in the 60s or 90s/100s. There are about 10 days each spring or fall total where you have highs in the 70s or 80s. And then about 15 days of the year it's highs in the 50s or lower. Every year.
October 11Oct 11 Space city weather has been mentioned a possible cold front by next weekend based in the models every article this week. Until today. No mention of it. And forecast for next weekend looks like every other day this week
