Will Simmons do an emergency pod or hide until Friday? My money is on Friday with an intro riddled with non-Celtics excuses. “House and I went to a late dinner” or “Chris Ryan and I stayed up late to work on our White Squall Rewatchable”.

Denver did what it needed to do. Let’s see how Game 3 goes.

Reminds me of game 3 against the Clips. Went 3-1 after that game.

In two games Boston has attempted 100 three-pointers, and made 25 of them. Yikes.

crazy to think if Boston instead attempted 98 3's the first 2 games and made a simple 2 pt shot, they'd be up 2-0

I truly don't get them continuing to just throw up 3 point shots with 20 point leads. Just breathtakingly stupid offensive basketball with the lead.

Denver was due for a stinker after the quick game 7 turnaround from the Clippers series and the game 1 theft in OKC. The margin was ridiculous but I don't think the outcome should have surprised anyone. That's going to be an interesting and (I hope) long series.

The Celtics / Knicks thing is just odd. I don't think the C's are going to change the way they play and the Knicks have a lot of guys who can switch out on the perimeter to match up on defense. The Celtics caught just about every possible injury break in their title run last year. Do we really know how mentally tough they are? Or how truly good they are are? Not having Porzingis is hurting them right now, but that's really been the story of his whole career. I don't think they are out of the series, but those were two gut wrenching L's.

Well Kendrick Perkins says this series is over for Boston, so Celtics in 7 I guess

Pressure now on Denver for Game 3.  If they lose that, they're in trouble.  You can't help but to wonder if they're starting to wear down.  They've gone every other day now for awhile.  Winner of this series likely wins the whole thing considering what is going on in the other series.

Boston/NY is insane and I don't really care who wins.

Top 2 seeds in the East are both 0-2.  Knicks out of the East maybe?  Knicks in the Finals might save the league from a Cleveland/OKC ratings debacle.

Jalen is about to achieve GOD status in New York. These fans are fucking starved for a championship. Ravenous. I would love to be in the Garden for game three. Just not wearing my Spurs gear.

It’s pretty when it works. But once you lose the prettiness and the other team has momentum, it’s hard for any team to establish any kind of flow and it just snowballs.

But as pros they should know this.

Theres something(to me) to be said about knowing your system and sticking with it

But then again, I’m not the coach of a team down 0-2 after losing two 20-point leads and shooting like a WNBA team from three

SECURITY HELP !

Cunt lies to Security that she was pushed and they still tell her to pound sand. Something tells me her Karen ways are well known in the arena.

I understand that telling a team to change its gameplan--and what's essentially its identity--mid-game because the 3's aren't falling is easier said than done, but would it kill Boston to show a little urgency? Instead of running one action with 8 seconds on the shot clock before a pull up or one pass and shoot, I don't know, maybe run a play with 14 seconds on the clock and make New York defend multiple actions? If it still results in a 3, so be it, but at least the ball would be moving.

csb alert:

Spoiler

Bought 5000 at $.02 on the Robinhood "Future Prediction Markets" aka sports gambling on a stock gambling app for NYK to win championship.

So $100 for a $5000 payoff, but I can sell at any price it achieves. I'm thinking if it gets to a 30 cent range I'll cash out. It got up to $.09 briefly after the win last night.

I remember watching a Celtics/Thunder game earlier this season and they took literally 35 three's in just the first half.  Just a lazy offense, really.  They'd run a screen and the person coming off would just fire up a three.  They were hitting until they weren't and OKC is an awful matchup for them.  Everyone on that roster can defend the perimeter.  I remember thinking OKC would sweep them in a 7 game series and maybe I wasn't wrong.

It's just so stupid that when they're not hitting and up by 20 points they just keep doing it. Even going 40% for 2 points still gets them a win...also gives more chances to get to the free throw line. It's just insanely shitty basketball.

I don't think there's any more pressure on the Nuggets than the Thunder.  Nuggets are happy coming home 1-1. They certainly need to play a lot better, though.

The Cs fouling Mitchell Robinson when they aren’t in the bonus zone is wild. It makes no sense what so ever.

I still think Boston has a chance to win this series.

Definitely. They have to play at their absolute worst to lose. The Tatum/Brown core has proven through the years that they can lay an egg at literally any time. But they can also string some wins together. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it resembled the 2012 WCF, when OKC got punched in the mouth twice by San Antonio, then reeled off 4 straight.

It makes perfect sense and it resulted in getting Robinson off the floor (after a couple fouls).

In a game ultimately decided by one point, Robinson was +19 in 22 minutes, by far the best figure of any Knick.

Yeah, but the new Pope graduated from Villanova.  Hart, Brunson and Bridges may be blessed

They put back in Anunoby. You would much rather have Robinson on the floor than OG. Robinson is not an offensive threat and doesn’t guard the 3 (which is all Boston shoots).

already a better start than game 1

You started G1 fine it was the next 18 minutes of the first half that was some of the worst basketball I've ever seen in my life.

Not exactly surprising. Without Steph, this is a roster who spends this season wondering when they should pull the plug to take a crack at Flagg.

...though this is very clearly a punt and rest guys game for Kerr.

GSW needs 1 at home to get to Game 6. Surely Jimmy has a 40 point in him. His 3’s unfortunately started falling in Game 7 against the Rockets and he was already shooting 10+ free throw a game.

Ant is still developing his taste for blood, I think Game 6 happens.

Draymond is so terrible about trying to be sneaky with hard fouls.

They let that fucker get away with so much shit.   Any other player would've got a 2nd tech with this shit.

Bruh. Would be really cool to watch the best players on the planet play playoff basketball.

13 years running

12 point game now.

I don't like arenas where they give everybody a shirt.
Takes away from the bump shots.

kuminga couldn't buy a second a playing time the last several games of the season and suddenly hes 8/8 with 17 pts?

yea ok

He's LeBronesque with the near-injury-non-injuries.

Although I think he's been playing a little hurt.

he is. Ive seen him come back after half from twists that looked twice as bad as that. but clearly he messed it up vs LA and TJD probably just landed on the part that was tender.

Heck yes it's annoying.  :)

Draymond cannot be fucking serious with this.

He's developing his post-NBA career persona.
Think Kendrick Perkins but worse.

Funny. Apparently that stemmed from him riding an exercise bike and someone yelled a racial slur at him…

I thought he was defending how he got in the ref’s face after his tech and said “THATS FUCKING BULLSHIT” 3 inches from his face

And as usual, no ejection

Yeah, he's made no secret that he wants to be known as more than a basketball player and delve into social issues...

...he's just really, really, really fucking bad at it.

But nothing can ever be worse than Kendrick Perkins.

Look, there’s no room for racist behavior towards anyone. Maybe the reason people look at you as an angry asshole is because YOU FUCKING PLAY LIKE AN ANGRY, OUT OF CONTROL, DIRTY DICKHEAD! Quit trying to make this about something other than your habitual dirty play and your asshole behavior. You are a fucking asshole. Work on that, dude.
