man that jump shot going off the back iron, had to have gone 8-10 feet in the air and to drop straight down like that. a its pinnacle it was near the top of the shot clock

you could try for that exact shot 1000 times and you might get it once

Meh. The announcers suggested that exact play prior to it happening.

Why tho? Just to rub it in lol. It’s funny

Unless kat goes Trevor booker on it from 60 ft away

Because there were only .3 seconds left, making it physically impossible for Towns to get a shot off in time.

Edit: .2 seconds left

I still cannot get over that game last night.
No dog in hunt for me (Rockets fan) but man what a crazy game

Nesmith was shooting like the rim was twenty feet around, made every three.

The game tying shot by Halliburton was the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Just crazy.

Pacers never quit and just got hot at right time. What a fun game to watch.

Yep I am thinking the same. WTF did I just watch last night? That was the craziest shot since Kawhi over Joel. What an effing game.

The NBA needs to send the Kings a nice gift basket to thank them for sending Hali to the Pacers. Imagine what we would be missing if he were still buried on the Kings roster missing the playoffs every year.

This game has to go down as one of the classic playoff games.  Historic for the amount of points scored at the end of regulation and overtime for the Pacers, possibly the best 4th quarter comeback ever? as well as the back of the rim straight up, copycat shot from Don Nelson -  1969.

My favorite all-time OT playoff game was when I was a kid and stayed up late to watch the Boston Celtics play against the Phoenix Suns, Triple OT game.  Like last night I had no dog in the hunt, and was pleasantly surprised at a great game.  That game back in the day kept going, going, going, until about 2:00 a.m. if memory serves correctly.

That game must have started at about 9:00 p.m. Central time, because the game was played at Phoenix.  Five hours does seem like a stretch, so maybe the game ended at 1:00 a.m. something.

Edited, AI says the 1976 game was tape delayed so that explains the late night.  The game would have started after the late local news, so 10:30 p.m. to whatever time.  Also, wiki says the game was in Boston.

‘76 G5 was played in Boston. Remember Celtic fans rushing the court and one fighting Mindy Rudolph, I want to say, before the Gar Heard shot. Helluva game.

Watching Nesmith bedevil the Cavs and then the Knicks tonight it's crazy to think that nobody really wanted this guy.  Still only 25 years old.

On July 9, 2022, Nesmith was traded, alongside Daniel Theis, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, Nik Stauskas and a 2023 first-round pick, to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon.[27]

Brogdon was then packaged for Holiday, who made a critical steal on Nembhard last year to win G3 in the ECF.  Crazy that one trade could put both teams into the Finals.

The Indiana Pace-"make"-ers

Maybe something will change for Minnesota at home but they don't have any answers for OKC. This looks to be a short WCF like last year.

get it to 4, OKC scores next 5. get it to 5, OKC scores next 7

wow called that one

Ha! I just saw Douche-Rod sitting under the basket. I forgot he's a T'wolves owner now. Even more reason to enjoy this shit.

shithead refs call a foul on us while dort loses the ball on his own, and ant stuffs it preventing a fast break, oh well such is life

I'm keeping faith MIN can snap back at home regain some momentum, but this ain't looking good.

Randle’s been terrible tonight. Wolves can’t win with that performance.

KD is being sarcastic...right?

For sure. KD and Perk used to be good friends, then Perk used his "clout" as "someone who knows KD well" to take shots at him when that was en vouge, helping to build his TV personality.

Just a garbage person.

On the one hand, I'm bummed because the Warriors with Steph would have given Minnesota one hell of a series to watch. On the other, OKC would have been a fucking buzzsaw had they managed to advance.

The NBA championship was decided last Sunday.

OKC vs Indiana will be the lowest rated NBA Finals in decades.
And I don't have any issue with that.

Boring series so far. May put some scratch on Minnesota to win the series because why not.

tonight OKC flexed. Less SGA bs than game 1, but their big 3 played terrific i thought. meanwhile Julius laid an absolute turd so yea. First 2 games are eerily similar. closeish first halves, OKC kinda gets some cheap points right before halftime then they go on some 6-0, 8-0, 10-2 run out of the gates. i wasn't feeling great giving up 5 pts(SGA 3 pter, dort draws offensive foul then OKC scores again) in 30 seconds to go from down 3 to down 8.

Mike Conleys our best player.

Minny is going to swept or gentlemen swept.  OKC is elite on defense and they have two guys in their starting five that are black holes on offense.

his +/- was +14 while DiVincenzo shit out a smooth -27.

Well, there ya have it. Minny should definitely play the guy that just went for 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists more.

Also, has Gobert been on the court? I legit can't remember a single thing that he's done.

That's the thing that OKC fans/media don't get. It's not the number of free throws or the ticky-tack subjective calls that tend to go his way. That's basketball, and we've all witnessed it called differently for different players for decades. It's the plays that straight up aren't basketball and are done with little or no effort to make a basket, just draw bullshit, awkward contact. The James Harden shit.

He's probably about to win more than James Harden ever has, so he'll never be derided like him. But it's not a comparison any player should be looking to draw.

In that playoff run, the 27-year old KPerk:

They beat Dallas, 4-0. KPerk scored 15 points with 25 rebs, averaged 0.8 blocks, 0.3 steals; 33-year old Dirk averaged 26.8 points and 6.3 rebounds.

They beat the Lakers, 4-1. KPerk scored 20 points with 28 rebounds, avg 2.2 blocks and 0.4 steals; Bynum and Pau combined to average 28.6 points and 19.4 rebounds.

They beat San Antonio, 4-2. KPerk scored 35 points with avg 6.2 reb and 1.3 blocks; 35-year old Timmy Duncan averaged 17 points and 9.8 rebounds

They lost to Miami, 1-4. KPerk scored 24 points with avg 6.8 reb with 0.6 blocks and 0.2 steals; Bosh averaged 14.6 points and 9.4 rebounds.

KPerk, Al Bundy's long lost brother.
