I can't handle the one Lakers play-by-play guy who is determined to put me to sleep with his monotone, boring speech pattern.

He talks like I assume a Sloth would talk like if a Sloth could talk like a person.

Christ Minny can't hit anything.

It's amazing this is within 16.

Sure, I get that. But you can't fix lazy, atrocious defense in a hotel lobby.

Ok...maybe they were able to reserve a meeting room.

This is fucking unwatchable. And that's two horseshit calls against Minny in a row.

They're winning the challenges so I'm not sure where you're coming from but I agree it's definitely unwatchable.

Of course you never want to lose, but that game one wake up call may have been the kick in the ass the Lakers needed.

LA has been a lot better on D but they're lucky Minny has shot themselves in the dick so much. This shouldn't be a 14 point game.

So winning the challenges means the calls weren't bad? It makes Finch have to challenge them and us have to sit through multiple reviews.

Wow what a sequence.  How do you pass that many times without a turnover!

They should start playing yakety-sax in the background.

They've been awful all game. Your post was about "Minny."

Ant needs to be more selfish there. McDaniels has been awful tonight.

Good thing for you JJ wants Reaves to be 33% of the offense. No matter how the minutes are split. That dude is a good bench player.

Is McDaniels on Xanax right now? Jfc dude.

What a shitfest overall. Hopefully G3 is better.

Ya knew that was coming. What a terrible game by 90% of the wolves with equally terrible officiating. But that was expected. Lakers going down 0-2 before going on the road would be a crisis.

Worst half of playoff basketball I can remember.

You must have missed Houston/Golden State the other night.

Although this was maybe marginally worse.

Inside the NBA guys should just get drunk for the rest of the playoffs since TNT won't be back next year anyways.

To be expected but it still felt like it was there for Minny. Just couldn't get out of their own way and get it within a couple possessions.

If I'm LA I'm still a little worried about wearing down against Minny's size. If I'm Minny I'm hoping whatever that offensive decision-making was tonight doesn't carry over. You figure the shotmaking will be better at home.

Wolves were excellent on D again and it looks like it's going to be sustainable.

Minny took their foot off the pedal today.

Lakers are my dirty #2 (Shaq doo doo time) team but I'm not feeling great about their bench or depth.
Or really anyone other than like three guys.

I fell asleep and missed the first qtr and a half, 10 PM starts here in Florida are brutal lol.

Luka musta went nuclear in qtr 1. That wasn’t the score I expected to see checking in. He scored about 11 the other 3 quarters but yea you’re right. Couldn’t get out of our own way. Lakers were 17-24 on the road.

Haven’t seen a single thing that makes me think Reaves or LeBron will do anything to help Luka out that Kyrie provided last year. I’d expect a couple of wolves thumpings in 3 & 4. Send it back to LA up 3-1

It’ll go back 2-2.

It’ll go back 2-2.

I’d be shocked. We’re better, bigger and deeper but also need to remember what state I live in and our uncanny ability to fuck things up when presented on a silver platter.

I think Friday night is do or die for LA. Sunday’s game is a matinee less than 48 hrs after game 3. Fat boy will be on fumes with no relief help

I wouldn’t even waste anybody guarding LeBron from the 3 pt line. I’d dare him to shoot.

"Fat boy" lmao. You're already praying.

You're right about the rest. That team is trash.

Luka, even in his pudgy form, is the best player in the league not named Jokic. He can slow down a game and it'll play out to how he wants it to. The guy controls a game better than anyone since, and believe me I hate to invoke this player's name as much as anyone else would, Chris Paul in his prime.

Minny does have a deeper team. You guys are better. We have a guy who won a Make-A-Wish dream to play in the NBA in Hayes. I think any level-headed Lakers fan realized that this year was going to be tough sledding in the playoffs without a viable center. You can't just ask a 40 year old LeBron to fill that role consistently in a small ball lineup. I like Reaves quite a bit, but this is a step up for him. It's one thing to Pistol Pete your way through the regular season. Now you have to do it consistently when the lights are the brightest. I would say this series will be a litmus test of sorts for him and whether or not he gets included in trade offers over the summer. I think he can play under the brightest lights, but it's up to him to mentally get over that hump. The best players figure it out. The mentally weak wind up playing on lottery teams their entire career.

The Wolves are the better team with an ascendant young star in Edwards. I won't bet against Luka mainly because of seeing him carry Dallas on his back last year. I don't need to tell any of the Mavs fans this since they saw him up close for years. I would bet on LeBron having himself a really good game three followed by the bottom falling out in game 4 for LA and then game 5 deciding who ultimately wins the series.

So okc winning in 4 while Denver and the clippers play a war to 7 seems ideal for okc

I’m assuming the Lakers will be able to throw it in the ocean at least one game in Minny, so 2-2 wouldn’t surprise me.

Yeah, that should be good for a week I would think.  They match up well against both of them, actually.

They're really not fucking around.  I'm curious as to how many games they had the entire roster healthy this reason.  (Real injuries or otherwise.)  When they have everyone, that "second unit" just rips people apart.  They have Cason Wallace and Caruso guarding the other teams bench.  They're all shooting well right now except for SGA but that will come around.

Steph ain't the only pro in that pic.  From what I understand, her rates doubled after that.

Scorer maybe, but basketball is played at both ends of the court.  Until he shows up on defense, his name shouldn't be anywhere near the words "best player".
