April 19Apr 19 If aggys knew the season started two months ago next weeekend would be a top 3 match up. They are playing solid ball now. Idk how next weekend is going to play out.

April 19Apr 19 Aggy now up 8-2 in the ninth. Looks like Texas will have a 2.5 game lead in the SEC going into tomorrow.

Ive watched or listened to damn near every game for the last 20 years. Welcome to the club. College Baseball, specifically Texas Baseball is my #2 sport behind Texas football. It is a lot of fun watching us play. The only thing I miss this year is losing our announcers. Other than radio, the TV feed is always a crew that doesnt really know Texas baseball. For example tonight the TV crew said something like "if Texas can keep Schloss (sp)" . The fuck is that. College coaches for one dont go pro, so where else do they think he would go? If you have someone who is as lockdown as him and he is available, why would you not go ahead and just wrap this thing up tonight. For sure this is what I would do. What a great series win for us.

April 19Apr 19 Aggy defeats Pig 9-2, to take the series. Texas leads the SEC by 2.5 games. At least Pig stopped the Aggy winning streak. Didn't want them coming here on a ten-game winning streak.

This is the best season of baseball since I’ve been a student/alumn so that was 8.5 years ago. This team has surprised the hell out of me. I’ve said it before but I find the psychology behind a coach so fascinating. We would not be where we are with Coach Pierce.

They are coming here with 3 consecutive series victories with two road victories over the then #1 team in the country and the now #2 team in the country. While I think we have a great chance to win the series next week, in no way did Arkansas stop their momentum, those sheep fuckers are hot right now.

Arkansas is on a two series skid now and Tennessee doesn’t look as hot as they did the first 4 weeks of the season. If we take care of business on Friday I think we win the series.

And we need all hands on deck in the bull pen. It's going to be a war.

Idk about Rodriguez. Edited April 19Apr 19 by txexlonghorn23

April 19Apr 19 Spencer said on his in game interview last week that he felt sore. He threw 111 pitches and then we threw him out with a day less rest. My guess is that he'll be fine to go on Friday.

April 19Apr 19 Every team has a letdown period during the season. Getting hot at the right time is the key to the postseason. In a perfect world, we beat the brakes off of Aggy, stomp Arky, get the letdown out of our system during the Florida and OU series, and then be peaking again just in time for a deep postseason run. There are 5-6 good teams in the SEC with records that will keep them right in the hunt; it'll be up to who's on an upward trend for Regionals/Supers.

Hopefully our big letdown was one game in Kentucky....
