And I didn't complain about anything from last night. Avs are the better team 5 on 5. I'd prefer that there are no penalties. But again, you do you.

Two statements, both true: 1. There's a huge difference between Benn's acting job (where the stick didn't even hit him in the face) and Makar's from last night. 2. They're both clear dives. I honestly can't believe you're even arguing this. It's no better than arguing that Benn's play should have legit been high sticking.

May 3May 3 Liable to see another game 7 at this rate Edit: smack talk in here is glorious. I wouldn't have it any other way. Edited May 3May 3 by cactusflinthead
May 3May 3 I hope the Blues score 15, so the entire world can see Hellecuck is a fraud. We need to trade him to the Sharks or Hawks, get one of the first few picks, and also get a 2rd center or extra D.

I interpreted that to be like “I’ve studied and I know exactly how I’m failing” with a bit of anger. That said it shows how much he’s in his head and the pressure to perform in the playoffs has caused him to crack. 23 hours ago, jetsfan76 said: Hellecuck at it again!! He’s broken

May 4May 4 Fuck. Good series, Stars.Great series between two absolute heavyweights. Sucks there had to be a loser.Wish the NHL would scrap divisions and just slot 1-8 like the “old” days.
May 4May 4 Oooof that was a rough meltdown for the Avs. Dallas killed them all series on each side of the PP. Is that it for Bednar?
May 4May 4 This should've been the Stanley Cups finals. The rest of the West & the whole East aren't even in the same league.

May 4May 4 Hire the local college coach? Really? They are on the edge of greatness with that team. Didn’t Montgomery jump straight from DU to the Stars?

May 4May 4 Author No Scheifele tonight. The Jets gonna complete the collapse or will they limp into the second round to face the Stars? gonna be interesting to see how this plays out

I think it would be a mistake to fire him, especially considering like half the league is looking for a new coach now. They already shipped off a top player for greener grass - maybe learn from that and keep the good stuff you do have. Edited May 4May 4 by Longhorn_Fan68
May 4May 4 But I think they are very happy with the return they got for rantanen. It’s his unexpected return to the west, and to their first round opponent, that was the unforeseen event that they did not count on being an issue.

Through one series, here's how the three main trade pieces have fared so far: Martin Necas: 7gms, 1g, 4a, 5pts, +2 Mikko Rantanen: 7gms, 5g, 7a, 12pts, -1 Logan Stankoven: 5gms, 2g, 1a, 3pts, 0 Guess it's the long game for Colorado at this point

May 4May 4 Bednar didn't make the trades. He had to cook with the groceries he had. That said, I don't think they had any idea that Moose would get traded back to the west much less their eventual opponent in the first round. The hockey gods frowned upon that move and fate intervened. I ain't gonna be looking forward to either the Jets or Blues. It's going to be another tough series either way.
