April 25Apr 25 x-posting Blake Munroe As the Longhorns gear up to host a red hot Texas A&M team this weekend, I checked with a couple of sources to see where things stand as of Friday morning. First, let's start with some really good news. I'm told that all signs are pointing to freshman Jonah Williams playing against the Aggies this weekend. "Good chance he plays, but we will be careful," said a team source. That's phenomenal, as Williams leads the team in batting average (albeit a small sample size compared to the rest), as he is .462 at the plate in 13 ABs. --- Yesterday I reported the weekend lineup on the mound would look like this: Friday - Ruger Riojas Saturday - Luke Harrison Sunday - Jason Flores As of Friday morning, that has NOT changed. Flores is still expected to be the Sunday starter. Will that be the same going forward? It's too early to tell. --- Finally, in case you missed it, Jared Spencer is now out for the year. He will undergo surgery on his shoulder next week.
April 25Apr 25 Can the Schloss magic continue with having to constantly shake things up due to our pets heads falling off? I'm not betting against his witchcraft. Oh, and it's aggy, so...

Seems like every team that's come into ATX during SEC play has been "red hot". LSU, Georgia, Auburn, aggy. Not so much when they leave though. We'll see if that holds.

April 25Apr 25 Schloss said his former players (gomer) have been coming to Austin "quite a bit" in the off-season, hanging out in Austin, going to Longhorn football games.... that'll go over well with that fanbase.

April 25Apr 25 Just now, Texas Fight said: Looks like a .500 guy who gives up a lot of runs. He hasn't been as good as I expected. It's interesting to see that almost all their returning arms took a step back without Weiner. Prager was a 3rd round pick last year, made a stupid decision to come back, and now his velo is down and his ERA is over 7.00 in SEC play.

April 25Apr 25 Prager is giving up 5-6 runs a start in conference, usually giving up a crooked one the first time through the order. Wind is going to left today. Let’s jump on him early and get the crowd into it

AGGGY GONNNA WINNN!!! until they didn't...
April 25Apr 25 Texas could be 50-0 and aggy would still say it’s scheduling or weak schedule. Who gives a fuck what some red ass aggy retard thinks. All that matters is Omaha in the long run so let’s take another step towards that.

They literally couldnt beat our worst basketball team in generations in a 2 out of 3, how are they supposed to beat us 2 out of 3 in baseball?
April 25Apr 25 Go to texags YouTube and listen to their gaping vagina baseball round table for a good primer for the weekend series.

Cult doctrine is we are inferior to them in some way. Usually we only won because we were lucky or cheated or something.

The funny thing about the scheduling argument is the biggest variation in our schedules is that they have to play us which boosts their SOS and we have to play them which tanks ours

Who gives a fuck what some red ass aggy retard thinks. All that matters is Omaha in the long run so let’s take another step towards that. I present the below objective, analytical data. You know, shit aggy never uses to prove their point. What we see here is: Texas has faced a much more difficult schedule (in terms of mean opponent RPI since April 1). But MuellerHorn, mean doesn't account for statistical outliers! Texas has faced a much more difficult schedule (in terms of medium opponent RPI since April 1). But MuellerHorn, sip has played the top teams at home! aggy has played an almost identically challenging schedule on the road as Texas (in terms of mean opponent RPI since April 1. Obviously, the median would look different here). But MuellerHorn, the ags have taken series against SEC powerhouses in Tennessee and Arkansas! Texas has an aggregate set of higher quality wins since April 1. But MuellerHorn, median! Yeah, nope. But MuellerHorn, we're the best two-loss team in the country since April 1! As always, perceived or real, aggy does actually have better losses than Texas. LO-fucking-L. Advantage, aggy. TL;DR - since April 1, aggy is not even the hottest team coming into this series. They're just "hot" because they don't look like a giant pile of hot shit anymore. Edited April 25Apr 25 by MuellerHorn
