No way Sam stays for fifth year 'victory lap'. That boy is going to rack up 4000+ yards, 50+ TDs, a Heisman, a Natty, and 5+ homicides of dudes he trucked on his way to the #1 overall pick.

You heard it here first.

We have a new neighbor, Uncle Elon needs to make an offer he can not refuse.

If Sam won the Heisman, I would hope that he and the rest of the team take turns pissing on it.

Less than 50 yards from school record for a game.

Fuck it, let Sam take the first series after the half.

Oh, thought we were talking about UT all time. Didn’t see FBS active. I’m sorry atom. I have your same feelings. You’d think a Trevor Lawrence or some such would trump Sam.

No biggie, Sam benefitted by starting so young.  A lot of other active QBs didn't start until sophomore/junior years.

Not really. Sam has an extra year over Lawrence, so it makes sense.

Ian Book sucks.  Chase Brice sucks.  Sam Howell had a bad day.

Sam Ehlinger and Spencer Rattler are off to the races.

Sam should be shut down for the rest of the night... our entire season revolves around his health.

Give him a series to start the 3rd then shut him down.

Sam will have to double up Lawrence’s numbers to get past the career achievement, 1st overall pick status of Lawerence.  Clemson would pretty much have to drop a game early and we’d obviously have to go undefeated and win the B12 with Sam putting up 400 and 5 against OU...twice.

Nostradamus all up in this bitch

I played a lot of NCAA football on PS3 back in the day. I know how to get a QB a Heisman and bring along a backup.

We could have used you calling plays a few years ago.

Two observations
I had no idea the gap between Sam and Colt was so large (passing TD)
That Case is on the list is awesome for
him but depressing for the history of Texas QBing

Yes but the fact that Bobby Layne is still on the list shows why people who doubt his status as an all-time Longhorn great and possibly the 2nd best QB in Texas history (he is IMO) are goobers.

The fact that he was #1 on the list from 1947 to 1992 is damn impressive.

So the hosts were talking on Sportsradio so this may all be bullshit, but if Sam wanted - he could come back next year and play also due to COVID this year does not count as a year of eligibility burned?  They said there is no clarity regarding scholarship totals from the NCAA, but was just curious if that was true.

He can, but I doubt he comes back barring injury.  If he can't get it done this year (win the conference), he's not next year either.  Good or bad, after this year he'll have gone as far as Herman and company will allow.
