Simms went 9/17 for 130 yards, 3 INTs, and zero touchdowns against Colorado in less than a single half of play before getting benched. Good for a passer efficiency rating of just 81. By comparison, in Sam's worst career game (against TCU last year), he went 22/48 for 321 yards, 2 TDs, and 4 INTs for a passer efficiency rating of 99.1 over an entire game. It's a ludicrous comparison.
December 30, 20204 yr His sprint into the locker room ahead of the rest of the team was kind of weird.
December 30, 20204 yr I’m going to chime in and then not pay attention. Why do some morons think Sam is going anywhere? I love the kid but his draft grade has got to be lower round at best. What is there to discuss?
December 30, 20204 yr I don’t want to shit on Sam too much but that throw that Casey just made is a throw Sam can’t make.
December 30, 20204 yr I would hope those saying we could only win with sam, realize that isn’t true. He’s been a great QB, but it’s clear it’s time to move on
December 30, 20204 yr I don’t want to shit on Sam too much but that throw that Casey just made is a throw Sam can’t make. Wrong. He's made it. You do want to shit on Sam.Thompsons done all you can ask of him tonight.

December 30, 20204 yr Casey, man. Holy shit. Dude was amazing as hell. Fuck this Card nonsense, give me some more Casey in my veins. Colorado or not, he was making throws Sam wishes he could make.
December 30, 20204 yr Legends win conferences and championships, not just pad stats over 4 years. Great longhorn, but definitely not a legend. Edited December 30, 20204 yr by Houston20
December 30, 20204 yr Luv ya, Sam, but Casey made you look like Case Mccoy today. You were a great longhorn, and thank you for coming to Texas. You'll do well in life.
December 30, 20204 yr If Sam declares and goes undrafted, he should give UFA status in Buffalo serious consideration. The Bills have taken a pretty damn inaccurate QB and turned him into an All-Pro contender that will shatter Jim Kelly's single season franchise passing records.

The "inaccurate" QB you are talking about was better than Sam in every measurable way coming out of Wyoming. He is bigger, faster, and most importantly, he has one of, if not the best arm in the NFL. This is an absolute asinine comparison.

He was a nice / good college QB but his next plans shouldn't be relying on a pro football career because he won't have one.

He had less this year than we'd all want. Hope he decides to move on and all the good fortune in the world to a great Longhorn QB in a really bad period in our program. 12 hours ago, BurntOrange&White said: I don’t want to shit on Sam too much but that throw that Casey just made is a throw Sam can’t make. So, fucking. Stupid. Every throw Casey made last night, Sam has made. Just not enough, especially this year, for whatever reason. 12 hours ago, Had Enough said: Wrong. He's made it. You do want to shit on Sam. Thompsons done all you can ask of him tonight. All of this. Look, we ALL get it. They'll be better off with Casey starting the whole season next year. But Sam has been a very good QB for us in a VERY bad period of our program's history. He's helped laid the groundwork to them getting back to the Top, and we should appreciate him for it. You guys need to stop shitting on Sam just to try to prove you were Right about him or some shit.

December 30, 20204 yr crossposting because it's so fucking awesome. It's like a highlight reel of Sam making 40+ yard passes in stride to receivers who don't drop the fucking ball and that turns into points and/or touchdowns. Incredible really.

December 30, 20204 yr I wonder if Sam has any inkling of transferring. At this point, there's no reason to trash him. It is ok just to shut up. The coaching staff probably had an overreliance on Sam due to his experience. The inexplicable were the continued throws deep down the sideline. This is complicated because at some point we tried too hard to establish the run rather than letting the natural game flow dictate. Sam did well with the hurry up right? Part of that is because he developed a rhythm. So that to last night. First half. Didn't make it on 4th and 1. That was 4 runs. Another possession. Two big pass plays get down inside CUs 30. Run it on 1st. Lose yardage and put us behind the chains. Rarely did we allow Sam post OU to throw all 3 downs.I think that helped Casey. His 2nd possession. 4 throws in a row. The 3rd was the big 3rd down completion to Brewer.I am confident our offense will be tons better next year.

December 30, 20204 yr To where? No idea. I would think he's not satisfied with his ending while realizing that Casey has waited for his opportunity. It's somewhat unthinkable that he could go elsewhere but curious as to whether that thought would ever enter his mind. Russell Wilson left one starting gig for another.

December 30, 20204 yr Guys shut the fuck up, Sam isn't transferring and he likely isn't going to return for a 2021 season unless the new HC asks him to.
