The point spread isn't designed to be a true representation of how much better one team is than another. It is designed to attract an equal amount of money on both teams so that the sportsbooks are guaranteed a profit.

Jeebus, not this shit again. Thanks for your unique and original perspective, genius.

No I'm not welcome because what you posted has nothing to do with what I said. I didn't say we are expected to win by 15, I said the spread is -15. Why you are assuming I don't understand how a spread works is beyond me.

Yes. Kenalog, Depo-Medrol, etc. Not the same kind of steroids guys use to add muscle mass.

You should have your own dumbass on ignore. But honestly I love how every thread gets derailed by people personally attacking me and how I'm 7 different random posters that I don't know on any given day.

Worry about the content. Not the username 🤘

Screw that, long term damage that destroys the shoulder joint.  Not worth it.

Keontay and Tre are better than Kennedy Brooks.

That's highly debatable. Brooks is plenty good, as his 82-811-11 stats testify.

The Oline and scheme gives Brooks a massive advantage. He basically runs through wide open holes before he gets touched. He was their 4th back for a reason.

I don't give a shit about OL and scheme, the mother fucker is averaging nearly 10 yards a pop. He was 4th team, because Anderson and Sermon are fucking bad ass players. Why aren't the other backs averaging 10 yards a rush if Brooks is so bad?

Texas O-line needs to play well with 40+ running plays and 250+ yards rushing..... protect the ball and limit turnovers.... 🤘

D'onta ran 50 tines against Kansas and we, y'know...

We have our best passing offense since Colt. We aren't shelving that.

Best case scenario is that Texas cam ram the ball down Kansas' throat with Ingram/Watson and avoid too many QB runs/throws and he barely plays the second half with Shane getting a lot of the 3Q and part of the 4Q, and maybe even Rising gets 1-2 series of garbage time.

Scrabble? Cribbage? Fortnite? Don't keep me in suspense.

Texas doesn’t ram the ball down anybody’s throat.

There. Now it sounds more believable.

Correct - we insert it anally and then sometimes allow it to be expelled and the reinserted at the last moment of the game: sometimes to us sometimes to them.

Lmao I don’t know how you could have watched this whole season and consider this plausible

It will be a 2 score game into the 4th quarter

Run it down their throat in the second half AFTER we've built a big enough lead. A ball control, clock eating style of play limits the number of possessions per team which is always to the benefit of the heavy underdog

That's why it's called a best case scenario, it is on the outlier of variables involved in predictive reasoning and is a perfectly plausible scenario when you quantify all possibilities in a reasonable manner.  Plus it's Kansas.  The worst case scenario is actually losing the game, which I also think is quite plausible if they turn the ball over.

I agree with this entirely if Sam is very healthy and coaching staff feels confident about this issue.  The scenario I posted above was much more about a best case scenario within the context of protecting Sam from a higher chance of injury in game if it's a real concern.  If the team is confident about Sam, go ahead and go all out.

Thing is, a win over Kansas is critical for this over-achieving Texas team.

Win, and play for the B12 Championship, plus 9 regular season victories.

Lose, and play in a mid-level bowl at 8-4 - good season, considering recent past Texas seasons, but not playing for a championship.

If Ehlinger can go, play him.

Hopefully, the Horns get a big scoreboard early so we can play Shane and rest up Ssm.

Y'all a buncha god damned worry-warts. History repeats, and Kansas isn't  due to beat us again until 2094.

1-0

I used to get Kenalog shots every 6 months or so for eczema.  Holy shit that stuff is a miracle drug.  I'm sure I have a 3rd hand ready to pop out of my armpit or something.

Best case scenario is Kansas forfeits.

Fuck that noise. I enjoy watching the Texas Longhorns play too much.

If that team gives a shit about its coach at all, I'm sure Kansas will give us a handful today.

When ifs and buts are candy and nuts

What a wonderful Christmas for us

His shoulder doesn’t quite seem fine. It’s good enough, but not great.

Just now able to tune back in since the half, but he looked like his shoulder was affecting him in Qs 1&2.

Before today, in which game was Sam's last INT thrown?

Yeah, I don't know how anyone can argue he was 100%.  This is by far the most "off" he's been all year.  If he doesn't get stronger by next week we're in trouble better competition.

We need to encase Sam's shoulder in a block of ice between games.

Shoulder probably hurt some, but the wind and a week of no practice plus a short week could have contributed to his poor play.

Vince wasn't his own goal line back.  He had Henry Shelton aka Big Beef Jerky

Well whatever else is wrong with JerryWorld, at least the wind should be a rather minor concern.

This. Guys like Cam Newton and Tim Tebow padded their stats with goal-line carries. VY didn't have to because we had Cedric Benson one year and Henry Melton the goalline bruiser the following season.
