Williams would finally get us out of the weeds with IDL. Been such an ongoing struggle at that spot for years now. Williams and Sharma continuing to develop for another season behind January + Portal NT (Arkansas kid hopefully). Both would have two years eligibility left beyond 2026. Get back in the habit of making sure to add one young NT either through recruiting or portal each cycle and that room might finally be in good shape. DT and Edge are already 'fixed'. Would be nice having the defensive front not be a constant headache to fill out.

What more can you do?

I'm really enjoying the football board regurgitations about Sark and Flood. They're just as fresh and enlightening when regurgitated 20 times as they were the first time that vomit slapped the floor!

We. Get. It.

I saw a video of the new Arkansas coach when he arrived for the first team meeting. He said anyone that transfers to a SEC team on the schedule next year was going to take an ass whooping.

I like Geffard a lot. He moves well for a mammoth. I remember him tracking Wisner all the way to the sideline in our game a month ago.

Well, just in case folks aren’t getting it, and I don’t think folks really are, here’s one for you.

The scouts really liked the King guy from Wyoming. Thought he’d be a good scheme fit and had great technique. So he gets in the portal and his first visit he’s invited to is Texas.

The guy shows up for the visit and Flood immediately nixes him as a candidate for a scholarship. Not big enough.

I, for one, wholeheartedly trust Flood at this point to crush his evaluations through the eye test versus the work the scouting team has put in watching hundreds of hours of tape over the past few months. Woo woo!!! Wooooo!!

Look here, Getafix. I love your updates but I’m a boomer’s kid. These screen shots are so fucking small that if try to enlarge them on my phone I get a “an error repeatedly occurred” message and my safari session craps out.

He's listed at 6'5" 313 on the Wyoming site. How far off from that is he in reality?

Michigan apparently expressing some cautious optimism that they can bring back Guarnera. They have mostly written off Sprague since if he doesn't land at Texas he is basically a lock to Mizzou over them as fall back.

Nothing makes me happier about not having kids yet than watching parents make this face every time that number shows up.

When you do have them the key is to reverse it and use it on them. My younger daughter was trying to annoy me with it then I started doing the hand sign and she quickly gave up.

Frustratingly stupid to focus on measurables for a guard anyway. All that really matters is strength. I'll happily take some feisty 6'1 guard who can actually hold back a DT than a flat footed pussy who is 6'6 330. I can understand being a size queen especially with wingspan at tackle but for guard it really just Strength > footwork/technique > size they should be looking at and I'm pretty sure the only fucking thing Flood even cares about is the last one.

I'm having a hard time finding a reason to be stressed about Cam Coleman. Texas obviously has a competitive offer. If he signs with Texas, great! If he picks another school, good luck to him. We have a great situation and opportunity for him with Arch and Sark, if it's all about highest bidder, we probably don't want a guy like that anyways.

My favorite portal addition was the midseason addition of Arch’s pocket presence, poise, accuracy and hot wheels. Feels like we got a new QB for next year. So I agree that there isn’t one guy we need. Lots of WRs can thrive in our situation.

Sounds like very functional execution from the Longhorn staff at the biggest position of need!

I wonder did the guy just show up way smaller than listed or do the scouts not talk to coaches before they bring guys in for visits..

Reminds me of Texas head football coach John Mackovic (for you youngins that weren't alive yet) refusing to recruit Drew Brees (right in town playing for Westlake) to Texas because Mackovic thought he was "too short" regardless of what he could do. FFS

So yeah, nobody seems to give a shit.

Bear Insider is the primary board that gets traffic. Write for California is also pretty heavy traffic. Rivals and 247 boards are virtual ghost towns

Clemson Safety Khalil Barnes just locked in with Georgia (didn't seem like we ever had a shot there but he would have been a nice fit; hopefully we get the FSU S).

Hawkins also just locked in with Okie St as expected.

If Coleman actually skipped a meeting (we know this is all BS message board shit), then we should absolute stop pursuing him.
