Texas already landed a better version of Justice Haynes. His name is Raleek Brown. I know it’s been like 24 hours and all, but for fuck’s sake, guys. Haynes can’t stay healthy and doesn’t spend much time between the tackles. We don’t need lightning and gimpy lightning. We need lightning and thunder.

Does anyone know where the bigger back for UF ended up? It’s clear he’s not coming to Texas for whatever reason, but he’s more of what Texas should be chasing.

Nowhere as far as I know. Surprised Juluke hasn't gotten him on campus with Clark and Simon up in the air.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, because you seem to have a better bead on this, but Haynes is listed at 210 while Brown is 195. Watching some of his film, it seems like Haynes runs hard between the tackles. He's not exactly "thunder" but he doesn't seem like as much of a Jayden Blue clones as Brown. That being said, there's no reason to drop $2-3 million on this guy. He seems like a great running back, but I'm not sure he fills a niche that can't already be filled by what we have on the roster. Maybe if Clark ends up in the portal, then we could use a guy like him.

Would be very interested to hear the story on him only starting 6 games for Oregon State. Glad to have him, though.

Without really digging in Oregon State has been a completely mismanaged disaster the past couple years

More importantly were they the last 6 games or the first 6. I mean Connor Stroh started 5 games for Texas this year (or whatever it was).

He had an injury this year. You think take a flyer if he's cheap?

Props to @someguy for telling us first by asking us how we felt about him. Meeting up with willing people on Rainey defeats my ethos. Stealthy 🥷 is what I’m all about.

There is no question that he is a good RB. The question is if he is a healthy RB. He was planning on goign to the NFL. I am guessing he is not ready to pass a physical or he would be in the draft. That does not mean he will not be healthy by September, but do you want to drop 2-3 million to find out? That is before considering Brown and Haynes are similar players.

Hey, I can finally offer something of substance! Yay! He did have interest in Texas last year, but Sark didn't bother calling, or Choice, even. He has good representation. He's a good kid, very intelligent, and has good parents. Now let's see if Sark tries this time and if Justice is interested still.

Comparing Brown to Blue is as off as the color comparison would be. Brown is a smaller back, but he can be effective between the tackles, if forced to be, just the same as Haynes. That isn't where you want either of them, however. Marshall carried that load and then Kudzal tried to when Marshall got hurt. They didn't want Haynes doing much of it. For the most part, they just wanted Haynes streaking down the field, usually going off tackle or completely wide. As for Blue, that dude had no interest in running between the tackles at all and usually fumbled when he did. Brown isn't like that.

The market for top of the line RBs in this portal is short of $1M. I do not buy for one second that someone will pay an injured Justice Haynes 2x or 3x of that. You guys should use some critical thinking skills and look beyond what a player's agent is floating out there. Maybe Baugh and Isaac Brown got $1M to stick with where they were, but I doubt it was much more than that.

Looks like a mixed bag.

  • Played DT the year before.

  • Torn meniscus in spring and missed fall camp

  • Started first three games

  • Looks like even these games, he was on a snap count / rotation that carried through most the year

  • Didn't play the final two games

That’s bullshit. They’re letting professionals come back and play but this kid who missed a year due to injury is denied? Fuck the NCAA.

The guy has literally played 4 full seasons of NCAA football.

I don't remember hearing that Sikorski had visited us at all. Was that kept hush hush?

He publicly stated he was going to visit Texas right after his Tennessee visit on Wednesday. Then he visited on Thursday, and committed today.

Until he sues the NCAA, gets a preliminary injunction, and the NCAA eventually loses in court like all the other times they've lost in court.

We can't do this is my point. I'm now questing some of our staff. Kyle Flood is number one for me. Let me know if wrong.

If I remember correctly, you’ve donated a decent amount to NIL right? You can complain all you want brother. Also, sorry about the stroke comment. Wishing you happy and easy days. Hook em and hope you get to see Arch hold up a trophy soon.
