Such a dumb take, like that could possibly be the standard. I guess Matt Nordgren should petition for a full 4 years, he basically played 0.2 seasons of college ball.

Glad to see this. After Wisner asked for $1M and ended up at a shitty situation for not much more than what he could have made at Texas, I really would have been wondering about the staff’s management skills if Clark ended up doing the same thing. After all, they only had to do was point to Wisner’s situation for negotiating ammo.

I’m taken. Heart has belonged to someone else for the past four years.

But if that were that not the case, I'm positive could build something out of our mutual dislike of Flood and Harris

Sounds like you could go back to your paramour pretty quickly.

On the other hand, 3 more years of Manning has a nice ring to it.

I figure this is a cheap depth pickup to replace Bo, but it still pushes me towards apathy. You olds are lucky you got to live almost your entire lives with a sane version of college football. I’m not even in my 30s, what am I to do?

Mid-90s to about 2015 was really great. I probably personally enjoy college football somewhere around 20% as much as I did back then.

This comment is really begging for the "you can act like a man" gif, but I'd rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I was in college for the prime Mack / VY years. They were amazing. I've tried to follow Texas football closely since then to varying degrees of success. The Strong years were the only time I really stopped enjoying it. I'm having as much fun now as I did at any point (other than 2005 / 2009).

Remember that recruiting is its own animal, and generally the realm of obsessives. Most fans barely know our roster, and they certainly don't follow the portal. They don't know what the rules are, and as long as the QB and a few other stars stay the same, they don't care. Because the product on the field is still great.

Go to games, watch on TV, talk ball with your buddies. If you're not enjoying the recruiting side of things, or if its diminishing your enjoyment of Texas football on gameday, I recommend you stop following it. Because having fun watching / attending the games is what actually matters, and you can still easily do that. No reason to get apathetic about gameday.

This guy was the 3rd or 4th leading tackler at FSU. He'd play here, possibly a lot depending on what else we do in the portal. The LB room is bare bones at the moment.

Ben Davis had 7 tackles in 4 years at Alabama. Cryer had 43 tackles 5 TFL and a sack last season at FSU.

Quick scroll through the on3 lists of portal people and some interesting/funny throwback names on there:

ATM WR Chris Marshall - actually had a solid 570+ yard season at Boise with 19 ypc this year
Dante Dowdell - 5 ypc at Kentucky, big RB at 6'2 230
Johntay Cook and Troy Omeire
Bubba Hampton

Kansas City Royals Baseball GIF

No player has ever done that before or since. He's literally the only specimen on earth to have accomplished that using only his head and trap muscles. Absolutely incredible. There are two with the Royals and one with the White Sox that I know of. The one with the White Sox where he snaps that bat over his quads was pure adrenaline. He did it first with the Royals after striking out.

Mom is an attorney. I wonder if she’s representing Juice. Needless to say, I hope I don’t annoy her with a million questions.

Fwiw, taking a contested catch specialist archetype or physical route runner WR in CFB 26 and moving him to TE is lethal. They burn by the LBs and safeties trying to cover them and all you need is adequate run blocking on occasion from them anyway. Sark should look into that instead of true TEs. It works in real life too (Kyle Pitts at Florida).

Were you the guy that suggested we find an expert Madden player as play caller back when we were trying to hire Sterling Giblets as the OC?

Easiest way to not annoy her - don’t ask.

Don't know anything about him but the numbers and team scream baseline P4 competence. And in this new era, if annual free agency continues, those guys are valuable. You're not going to be able to stockpile studs as depth.
