If I was him, I would look for a fresh start at a top program with an established qb for his last year in college.

Rs sophomore, if he wants to enter the draft, he can.
Also undersized, I don’t think he would do well behind our OL unless he’s special.

Cook performed very poorly at TCU when given the chance. He’s found a good spot in a run first offense at the lower level but I think we can do better.

Guy's are going to remember being on Arch Manning's team when they're old

A lot of talk about Cam Coleman but what about Ryan Williams entering the portal? Apparently his snap counts have been declining and against Auburn had zero targets.

The word is that the program is ready to be very aggressive in the portal across the roster in order to maximize Manning's last season. There's been handwringing about retention and allocation for a while, but those same handwringers are now extremely bullish about being aggressive.

IOL, TB, TE, WR are all priorities. There's less concern on the defensive side of the DC, although that doesn't mean they're not going to be pursuing difference makers at every spot and trying to find depth in a few places as well.

I'm from Missouri on this cycle, personally. I think they're just going to cut bait on some of the higher rated, big contract guys who haven't done anything yet, whether that's premature or not being irrelevant. 2026 is supposed to be the year where it all comes together.

After giving up 30+ in 4 of the last 5 games, interesting that there's less concern on defense. IOL and TB are obvious needs but I would've thought defense over TE and WR.

Tell him

leave the nail polish shit in Alabama and we got a deal

I'm really interested to see what we do at WR. Supposedly Sark's offense is not the easiest for WR to quickly learn so we really need to nail the evaluation if we bring someone in to be a WR1.

I’d love to kick the tires on Danny Scudero the wr from San Jose State. Dude had 1291 yards receiving this year.
Then again I thought Ffrench and Lockett would see the field this year, so I don’t know shit about fuck.

Maybe I’m naive, a Pollyanna or stupid (or all 3)but I think we can stand pat at WR and double down elsewhere.

I think back at all the drops in crucial moments and I am perfectly fine with bringing in a #1 receiver.

Opposing offenses figured out how exploit Jaylon Guilbeau, and our back up freshmen had a learning curve. Michael Taaffe was out some of those games. Jelani McDonald was out most of the Vandy game. Refs helped Vandy along. Georgia got hot in the 4th quarter. We put backups in against Ark in the 4th.

I'm less concerned about our defense. A better offense that can sustain drives can help the defense.

Gerry seemed skeptical about us  pursuing Cam Collier, saying that he would likely cost about $4mm

But how much is Cam Coleman?

Same issue with Ryan Williams. The price does not match the output.

Coleman has 1,200 yards in 2 seasons on a shit offense with terrible quarterbacks while playing for a coach who thought Jackson Arnold would solve all his problem.  He's probably worth a lot.

If your name isn't Jeremiah Smith, you aren't worth more than $1m, IDGAF. I get we're in a new era, but $4m for a WR that hasn't exactly lit it up is beyond dumb. He has the tools, but no fucking way should anyone pay that for a 1 year rental WR when you can get another WR who will/can put up the same amount of yards and TD's.

I don't even believe Ryan Williams is worth more than $1m, especially considering, again he's a 1 year rental, and  WR is the easiest position to recruit in the portal. He's a great talent and has proven himself, but if he wants more money, get an NIL package deal.

These kids are asking for NFL money like they're former all-pro's on a new team looking to win a SB. Julio Jones earned $1.6m in his last year before retirement.

Is Jimmy Sexton their agent?

How much better is Coleman at 4M than a Matthew Golden type who was a fraction of the cost?

Position of need, I haven’t watched any of their game but the stats aren’t impressive.

I believe hes talking about Nick Marsh the WR

I'll happily take another Golden, but I don't think anyone including the staff thought he would be as good as he was when they signed him.

And this is how I learned both Michigan teams have underclassmen WRs named Marsh that are in no way related.

No one on offense should even consider sniffing the nfl draft

Wingo sniffed it.

Both Worthy and AD Mitchell seemed to do just fine picking things up. Mosley seemed to take a little longer, but he was also injured throughout fall camp.

I think this has grown into myth territory since Golden needed help understanding it, so now everyone does, even though evidence shows that's not the case. Bond did just fne. Endries did just fine. Townsend knew where to be just fine on his TD catch. Baxter picked it up and started as a frosh, Wingo, even if he didn't get it fully still did enough to play meaningful time as a frosh. Mosley seemed to pick it uo, too. As a matter of fact, all of our transfers have, including Silas Bolden.

4M just for the eventual child support

I dont even mind trading Moore and Wingo for a true WR1.  These fucking WRs were dropping balls whenever we needed a damn play.

Keep the powder dry for Baugh, Dallas Wilson, and Cam Coleman please.

Wasn’t Dallas Wilson injured like 80% of the season?

Shit, it was probably closer to 90%. Love his upside on a discount of course.

Dallas Wilson only had 12 more catches and 174 more yards this season than I did. Pay no mind to the simple dolt you quoted.

Baugh, Arky RB Washington if he doesn't go pro, Harlem Berry and Caden Durham, Lacy out of Ole Miss. There's plenty of options to be had, including B1G RB's that will enter.

My personal wants are Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), Mike Washington, Jr (Arky), Jadan Baugh (UF), Harlem Berry (LSU), Makhi Hughes (Ore), Caden Durham (LSU), Darius Taylor (Min), in that order.

Moore doesn't drop balls really. His issue is he gets zero separation in man coverage. He just disappears. Still better than Wingo.

That’s the problem. Seems like we don’t have anybody that can get separation. The one who can can’t catch the ball consistently.

we need a consistent playmaker

Malachi Toney, por favor

Baugh is so good. I think for portal, the way forward is paying for actual production, not potential. It's too risky even though someone like Dallas Wilson will probably be awesome at some point in the future. We already have our lottery ticket in Wingo.

He was three-star, FWIW. Makes you look at developing talent instead of worrying about this top-5 WR. If Jackson could actually develop that would be huge. But instead the portal guys make him look better than he actually is. He hasn't developed anybody. He had Worthy for a year, but he didn't develop him, Worthy worked his ass off since he stepped on campus. Jackson has been here since 2023, and he can't point to a single HS recruit and tell anyone he's developing them. Wingo can't block or catch half the time, but his route running has gotten better, yet still can't get separation consistently. Same with Moore. He's a good blocker and route runner, but he can't get separation, and he has some wtf drops. Livingstone is an enigma. Plus he's a RS-FR. Aaron Butler can't catch, for whatever reason. He did in HS.

Again, every WR that's been drafted other than Worthy and J-Whitt has heen a portal. Mitchell, Bond, Golden, Bolden.

Florida isn’t letting Jaden Baugh leave. Sumrall singled him out in his opening press conference by name. Probably time to let that pipedream go.

For Coleman, it probably comes down to the ability to sell him on fixing the QB spot to make sure he has a good draft year. That veer and shoot offense Golesh is bringing is super WR friendly.

I like it, but he’s the focal point of their offense, he’s a local kid,  Miami is “close”, and they’ll be hyper motivated to keep him.

He didn’t have any problem torching Texas though.

Are we going to have to see an idiotic Dallas Wilson discussion on every new page of this thread?
