Thanks for helping me realize that objectively my beef is with Fox, not the sport.

The past couple of seasons have been phenomenal.

And for whatever it's worth, I have a beef with NBC over their shitful coverage of it (and specifically, fuck Peacock in the goatass), so I'm hoping that Fox is slightly less terrible. But I'm certainly expecting to be disappointed in this regard.

I don't want to derail this too far, but I would agree that F1 has the edge in terms of using the latest technology, of course, but the racing product in IndyCar is far and away better in IndyCar (by like a factor of ten) if you value things like passing, passing for the lead, etc.

And NASCAR is superior to both.

PrizePicks commercials are amongst the most hatable in current rotation.  Everyone of them.
The sports bar where men and women in equal proportions having passionate debate about football.  “He’s made different.”  Yeah….

These douche bags:

I don’t know, don’t want to know who they are.  “Run it!” “I told y’all.” [chest bump].

My father saw that commercial and asked me what “run your game” means. I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was code for loving to eat cream pies.

Totally agree. Druski has marginal comic talent and is somehow hugely famous. Joe Budden is a total fucking douchebag, irrelevant hip-hop artist that does nothing but sellout and talk shit and preen like a dickhead.

It would make sense that both of them would cash in on selling a crappy, pseudo-gambling app to kids.

The new weathertek ad with the old ladies cracks me up, especially the flasher.

The Safelite ad where dad breaks cracks the windshield and his brat of a son goes “Ooooo”, I don’t condone child abuse but I’d understand in that instance.

Yeah, I've literally never seen any of these people outside of those commercials. And they are some shitty ass commercials.

this commercial where everyone is mashing cottage cheese like it’s ice cream is the worst thing currently airing on any channel that i watch.

I have yet to happen upon a group of middle-aged people who spontaneously burst into song & dance, like they do in commercials.

I have yet to see or hear about folks who take a random pharmaceutical  actually jumping into and being part of a street festival, or jumping up to take the singing lead in a jazz club....

but about every other pharm ad shows that exact scenario

Cottage cheese is the grossest food ever created, and I actively think less of my wife that she enjoys it.

I’d do cottage cheese shots out of her cleavage though.

Oh yeah that’s been legendary for years. I think it got uploaded back when Rackspace was actually hosting YouTube as a startup, because we would all stand around and laugh at it.

The kid who procrastinated on his school project was cute the first 100 times I saw it. Now I'm at the point to where Evan needs to buckle up pull himself up by his bootstraps and do his own fucking project without dad's help.

Ariel from Austin tells us that as a black woman, as opposed to other addicts I guess, her recovery has to be "loud." Like you talking during a movie, Ariel?

Two ads I'm tired of being beaten over the head with:

- the "liberty biberty" dipshit talking to the baby

- the Meg Ryan/Billy Crystal Hellman's ad

Because Invesco probably wrote a really, really, really big check.

At least enough to pay Rodney Terry's buyout, hopefully.

Whoever decided to bring back that stupid commercial with the piggy going wee in the back of the car for Geico needs to be fired. It was the single most annoying commercial when it came out two decades ago, and it's just as annoying now.  Bringing it back for the tournament is treason.

It's truly enraging, which seems to be Geico's overall marketing approach.

It's the approach of every insurance company. See Geico, State Farm, Nationwide, Progressive, etc. I can't think of an industry that has worse commercials.

I agree, but I think Geico is the worst offender, by far.

The passive Progressive commercials crack me up.

Nancy would get it

Holy shit they brought back the Betty Blackwell commercial. Didn’t even update it. She’s still there at the end, from 30 years ago. Seems like they could have at least showed what she looks like now. She has to be like 70.

That commercial first aired in 2010.
