April 30Apr 30 It has to be good. Supposedly, Jordan Peele tried to win the auction for the rights to the script and fired his management team after he lost it.
April 30Apr 30 When that trailer started I was sure it was going to be. Movie about a school shooting.

April 30Apr 30 Definitely In. Horror and Super Hereos are the only movies that make money these days.

Then it's two hours and seventeen minutes of similar video and no dialogue! I don't mind vague endings that allow the viewer to draw different conclusions, but the ending sucked! Two hours and seventeen minutes I'll never get back. Two thumbs down!

But it started out strong.

June 23Jun 23 My theory is that the kids are part of some government program to brainwash people, to turn them into weapons against others and themselves. The kids are unwittingly expose to it in their classroom, by one of their classmates whose parents happen to work for the government. Their kid is the only one from the class who doesn't disappear. Eventually whatever happened to the kids will spread to their parents. I think it will look like something supernatural at first, likely as a cover, and as the investigation (spearheaded by Brolin and Garner) unfolds, the audience will be led to think it demons possessing the kids. The big twist about 3/4 of the way though will be that it's not demons but hypnotism or chemicals or something.

June 23Jun 23 Some people on Reddit got a hold of the script months ago. From what they said and the summaries given it sounds stupid as fuck, and not many of them had high hopes. Granted this was early on and scripts can change a lot, and the medium of writing might not have the same impact as a visual one, but it’s worrying that every shot in the trailers could be found in that script. Spoiler It’s literally just an old witch that lives in the creepiest house in town that wants people’s lifeforce to make herself younger. Edited June 23Jun 23 by Helobious
July 16Jul 16 Looking forward to this and the Franco Brie body horror. Hoping it injects life into 2025 horror following Sinners.
August 6Aug 6 This has long legs written all over it. Massive curated critic hype to be followed by audience letdown.

August 7Aug 7 Longlegs was cool. This hype is different and I'm excited to check it soon. Who would have thought the weirdo from Whitest Kids YKnow would be one of the directors carrying the horror torch in 2025
August 7Aug 7 I enjoy movies and shows with Brolin as well as Garner. She's really talented and I've seen the preview several times now. It seems like a really interesting plot.
