I wanted to go see Scrappy Jud but 6 AM at an HEB on the other side of town was a bit of a non-starter.

Yeah, they just shot video #3 on Sunday.  All 3 singers/songwriters are getting one of the first three singles.  It's my daughter's turn next.  I think it will possibly turn more heads because (ahem *cough*) she's a more adept singer, and avoids the screamo stuff.  It's a great song.  After that, the album drops.

Which songs did your daughter write?  Really digging their new album.  I was going to take my daughter to see them at Stubb's but that is the  night before McCartney.

Voir Dire, Punishers, and Strange Moon.  Bits of other songs but those are her main writes and lead vocals.

How cool it must be.  Proud dad indeed.  Hell I'm proud and we've never met.

Punisher, Punk Rock Anthem and Voir Dire are the ones that stand out to me.

Thanks!  I'll pass it on.

Sound to No One I like too. Very much a Tool vibe.

Yeah, I love that rhythm.

just watched the latest strange lot video and it features the die spitz bass player.

Do you know the poi dog pondering crew?

No, not really.  Saw them a bunch, but never really crossed paths.

Yeah, we got tix.  See you there.

I wonder if they're really checking "tickets" for the show.  I grabbed two, just in case.  90% I won't get my wife to go because its probably too hard so I'll probably convince a friend.

Not sure, my wife did the heavy lifting on this one.  (I believe it took about 6 seconds.)

This just popped up in the feed, I always love kexp performances and this looks like it is doing numbers. Came off mute at ballet rehearsal, moms are looking at me

I didn't know that had showed up.  Thanks!  What do you mean about "doing numbers"?  Is there a typical view count?

I dunno what’s typical, 30k likes in a day seems good. Wetleg on the 10th has 70, they’re a pretty big band. Seems like 5-10k is more normal/maybe the floor.

See that green SG?  Free.  The black Tele?  Free.  The two new basses?  Free.

Me?  not a chance!  "Yeah, we don't care about dads".  As it should be.

I dig that bass, cool pickguard. Also she has the “might be sneaky good with a blade” energy.

I gotta watch more of those KEXP live sets.  Their sound quality is excellent.

For real - it’s a good setup but the mix/sound is always great on those

I've never been to CMW -- their website says they have 2 stages.  Is the outdoor stage where they do these shows?  What would you compare it to?

yes they do them outdoors and it's a giant stage. comparable to radio east.

Oh, that's serious.  Thanks.

@jimmyjazz Finally caught Die Spitz at Stubbs a few weeks back and they put on a really good show.

What was incredibly refreshing to see was the minimal amount of phones recording the show.

It was also fucking awesome to see a bunch of kids into heavy rock music.

They got a good scene going on there. Old guy approved.

Here is a picture of the stage from two years ago with Brownout...

Same evening below.  Last time I went, they had added shade sails where the seats are located and I think they removed that middle planter.
