May 3May 3 Just gonna let Volantis rot down there? Burns shouldn’t have started this inning and definitely shouldn’t have got another batter after 2 walks.
May 3May 3 ark has been getting that call. Galvan needs to set up outside so he's not reaching. both last night and today the umps aren't paying attention to where the catcher is set up(which is poor umpiring) and we haven't adjusted. I have no idea why we can't do what ark has been doing. Galvan is set up over the middle of the plate on every batter.
May 3May 3 This umpiring crew is horrible lol. Home plate ump give us the call at the knees after the 3 run bomb
May 3May 3 Every run Arkansas has scored today has been off of a home run. I believe that is 24 runs given up by our pitching staff so far.

May 3May 3 Burns already at 50 pitches. Mercy. Seems like either we are too scared to pitch to contact or all of our pitchers lost their control at the same time.

May 3May 3 Burns should have never been allowed to start this inning. Really bad pitching management today with the best pitcher in the series fully rested and available.
May 3May 3 holy shit. volantis down 2 runs. this is on schloss. if you were ready to bring him now you had to pull Burns sooner.
May 3May 3 I imagine the plan was to go to DV to start the 7th or maybe 6th, hopefully with a lead. Guess now we'll get to see if he can stretch it out to 4 1/3.

Even more so when you don’t have to protect against close pitches because they’re not called strikes, vs having to protect 6” off the plate.

Don’t mind letting him start the inning but he certainly should have been pulled after the 2nd walk. That will definitely keep Schloss up tonight

We have good arms but we don’t have premium stuff as a staff. We have 1 guy who throws harder than 93-94. Everybody else is getting by on pitch-ability and breaking balls. That doesn’t make hitters shake in their boots even if they are good pitchers.

Will be interesting to see how he responds to this weekend.
May 3May 3 Wonder if Volantis eventually gets moved to starter. Hes such a weapon in the BP so would be unfortunate, but hard to close if you don’t have a lead. Hopefully this weekend was an anomaly and we don’t have to find out.
