so this popped up for me on youtube the other day......is Alison Moyet completely rude in this video or just impolite?

she is clearly not the most rude lady out there, but she is clearly trying to express her rudeness.....does she get additional rudeness for that attempt?

and yes there is a lot of other rudeness going on

Maybe she just wants the banana in the tailpipe.

I never knew Yazoo made that song. I guess I just always figured it was Annie Lennox or Erasure.

Agree with @WBT that she is impertinent, not rude, and that is my wheelhouse. I had the whole Yaz cassette, for that single song, and never knew until now what she looked like.

Agree. Her voice is similar to Annie Lennox’s.

Well you're close.

Vince Clarke, former member of Depeche Mode, started Yazoo shortly after leaving Depeche Mode.

He then started Erasure after Yazoo decided to disband.

Fun fact: Alison went to school with future Depeche Mode members Andrew Fletcher and Martin Gore. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Moyet

Yaz/Yazoo is an underrated band.  They put out some really good stuff.

Fun fact:

In an interview Andrew Fletcher was discussing the time Vince Clarke decided to leave DM.

He said as sort of a peace offering, Vince Clarke wanted to give the band a song but Fletcher declined to accept.

This was the song.

THE definitive Yaz song.

And verdict: mildly discourteous

Yeah, I can't see Dave Gahan doing anything with it like that.  Allison kills it.

This version State Farm is one of the first remixes I remember thinking "that is awesome."   It has been on pretty much any workout playlist I have made.

She's playing at Cruel World next week with a lot of awesome bands. This is my lineup if I could go:

I probably sold you X, or bought it from you.

Both

Alison Moyet has a lot to offer. I’m not sure her demeanor, whichever way it leans, moves the needle much though.
