May 7May 7 I am just wondering of maybe we could do away with the aggregate threads? sometimes I watch a show amd I come here amd it's lost in a "apple" or "netflix" thread. I think we get enough traffic to approach each show individually? I dunno I'm high sorry
May 7May 7 Just start a thread on whichever show you want. If it’s popular enough, you’ll get replies.

I should add that I'm a later adopter to streaming shows that maybe aren't last of us level. guess my point is that I'd rather look to discuss a show in a show thread rather than a streaming sub thread
May 7May 7 That’s fine, I get it. If you start a thread & get very little action, then that tells you what you need to know. There’s a couple posters here that despise the big threads, but they serve a purpose too.
May 7May 7 Yeah, I think less of the overall community due to the abject stupidity of the aggregate threads and will never open them.
May 7May 7 I think there's value in aggregate threads in the sense of it brings awareness to current shows and upcoming shows in these streaming platforms. It's a good place to put trailers and teasers. There can be a Disney+ thread to show what's coming the platform and an Andor thread since that show has a decent following here. Aggregate threads don't lend as well to weekly discussion though. If a show has enough interest, it will naturally break off as a separate thread.

May 7May 7 What movie is this from? I have never seen it "Can I ask a dumb question? can we have dedicated show threads?"

That seems super specific and niche, seems like you might be trying to thread a needle.

May 8May 8 I'd like to dedicate this thread to A Man Called Horse. It's the movie where I caught my first glimpse at PG boobies.

May 8May 8 It isn't just the threads, it is what is in the threads and I'm here for that: and just for @Bama Chick because I miss her Surly posting:
May 8May 8 Seriously though I agree that it can be difficult to find certain show threads because there isn't a standard nomenclature and sometimes the search engine has loopholes that don't pick up the title, etc. @Pancho created a thread title that (to me) works well because it lists the name of the show followed by the platform in parentheses, i.e. The Righteous Gemstones (HBO Max) Clear and easy to understand. Most of the time things work out regardless.
May 8May 8 Let's start threads about scenes in shows which have threads, but maybe not aggregate threads.
